My sister and I had an appointment to get our lobes pierced with Austin on a Friday evening.
As we walked in, we were shocked by the strong aroma of marijuana. I’m not one to care, but it gave me a weird vibe knowing I’m about to get a needle or two shoved into my ears. This should have been the moment we turned around and walked out. But we decided to stay and continue with our appointment. As we began to fill out our piercing paperwork, Austin came down to introduce himself before he got the room ready for us. He could barely open his eyes, i’m assuming because he is was stoned out of his mind. Again, we should have left at this moment. We were just too excited to get pierced and had been waiting a few weeks for this to happen!
Once we finished our paperwork, Austin brought us back and went ahead and got started. My sister went first. He did a great job at first. Then it was my turn. He drew on the dots with a purple pen to make sure I liked the placement. He had to do this a few times and asked us what we thought. It really made us feel like he didn’t have any trust in himself. I mean, he is the professional. Isn’t he supposed to know what he’s doing?
Once we were finished and ready to pay. He informed us that it was $50 for each one of us. We had called the day before and the girl had told us that it was $25. This was very frustrating. We pulled out our credit cards and went to hand them to Austin as he told us he only took cash. Again, Midtown failed to tell us they only took cash. We had to use their ATM in the shop and pay for the ATM fee on top of the extra costs of the piercing we weren’t expecting.
After this terrible experience, I will not be coming back here nor will I be recommending Austin or Midtown Tattoo to any of our friends.

I’ve been getting tattooed by Jake for the past month and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and the experience. Everyone at the shop is friendly and welcoming, the space is large and clean, and the art is top notch. Jake makes the process of getting tattooed fun and easy. Adam did a portrait for me of a friend that passed away. He wouldn't do the tattoo until it was drawn perfectly and I appreciate him for that. I'll never go to anyone else. A Clean and reputable shop and I would definitely recommend them!! I am so proud of you Adam.

This place was great! Super clean- it did not look like other shops that I had been in... this place was more open and bright and inviting and I appreciated that. My artist (Lindsay) was very friendly and professional. My design was relatively simple, but she worked with me well to get the details I wanted just right, and I never felt like she was rushing me to make my decisions. I would definitely recommend midtown tattoos to anyone!

Awesome shop, very clean, friendly employees, pop and pool table for guests to enjoy. And last but definitely not least execelent quality ink by any of the artists here. Each artist having their own style this place can hook you up with what you want to put a smile on your face. I’ve gotten my whole sleeve by the owner Adam and I’ve not the slightest complaint. Great work guys. Also the piercer here is second to none. 10/10 would recommend
