BlackEnd Tattoo Atelier

I got a coverup tattoo done here. The original was fine, but I wanted art — and I got it. I got an amazing black-and-white tattoo from Jameson Thomas. Whereas the previous tattoo was something that was "just there" I love looking at and showing off my new tattoo. It wasn't what I had originally envisioned, but it's better. The whole process from consultation to appointment to touch-up was great. At one point, I got a rash from the bandage after the appointment. I sent pictures to Thomas who communicated with me over the course of several days, kept tabs, and assured me the rash would not be an issue based on other clients' experiences. Thomas took the ideas I had and made them fit to more effectively cover the tattoo, but also listened to any alterations I wanted. I want another tattoo at some point in the future and I'll be making my appointment here.

Marissa is AMAZING!! I have been going to her for years now, and she never disappoints! She is so creative and is extremely knowledgeable. I have recommended her to my friends as well and they are just as blown away as I am! If I could give her more stars I would!

Love this place! In particular my tattoo artist - Mike Grant. I've gotten three tattoos from him, ranging in size from a half sleeve to a little one on my ribs. I have never left disappointed!

My husband is also a huge fan of Kev Bee, and has two tattoos from him with one more in the works. One of the most unique tattoo styles I've ever been fortunate enough to see!

I find myself exploring other artists and tattoo shops in the city, but my heart always brings me back here. It's clean, aesthetic, friendly, and full of talented artists. You really cannot go wrong. I've always been treated with respect and have been heard out and catered to. Somehow when I tell people this is where I've gotten my tattoos from they haven't heard of the shop! It's such a hidden gem. There is literally not one complaint I have. I was about to say another positive is that rates are fair, but honestly by the end of your session you'll look at that piece of art and feel like it's a steal. So I correct my initial statement, they are infinitely more than fair.

Absolutely overjoyed. Andy created a welcoming environment and their skills will blow you away. If you are looking for your 15th tattoo or your 1st, Andy is the beautiful human to go to!!!

Excellent, excellent shop. My artist Chase Tucker was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and professional. He made sure I was happy with everything every step of the process. And his designs are so sick! The atmosphere is warm and inclusive. I even had an aftercare question and Chase was responsive and quick to offer me a solution as soon as I called the shop. Can’t go wrong at BlackEnd.

I cannot rave enough about my incredible afternoon spent at Blackend today. Chase provided me with the best tattoo experience I have ever had (and I have had many). He tattooed an idea I had and a piece of flash on my calf for me today. From the first interaction, he was accommodating, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and warm. He took into account what it’s like to be tattooed for a long period of time and provided me with friendly conversation, numbing product, a substantial break and opportunity for more breaks, and a cozy and comfort environment. The shop was clean and homie, all staff was welcoming and friendly, and parking was very easy. I cannot recommend Chase highly enough. I will be back again and again. Best shop and best tattooer in the twin cities.

I was in last week to see Marissa for my a couple small tattoos. She is an amazing artist! She listens to me to ensure I get the look I want. She does a lot of work before I even arrive. She is passionate about her craft and it shows! I have had 5 tattoos done by her and would't go to anyone else! She researched and found the color pattern used on my dad's tattoo done in the mid 1960's to give me a perfect replica. My dad never wanted me to get a tattoo, now he points out that the one on my foot is the same one as he has on his arm!(-:
P.S. The shop is beautiful, clean and inviting!

I'm a 4 year Breast Survivor and the road has been tough and very emotional. Sarah gave me something back in my life that is unexplainable with her magic touch. Sarah is the BEST!!! I was so nervous to get work done but wanted my battle scars hidden. Sarah did her DAMN THANG to the point if I would have never went through it and seen her work. I would have never known those scars. I wish I could show pictures but don't want to get flagged. She did Breast work to cover my double mastectomy. AMAZING and still been crying every time I see her work.

BlackEnd is such a nice tattoo shop! It's clean and professional with a fantastic receptionist. The receptionist I dealt with was Jeremy (if I remember right), and he was kind and friendly and communicated clearly. The artists here are pretty busy and booked up, so this is not the place to go for a quick, impulse tattoo. Come here for high-quality custom work.

Good selection of unique artists in an inclusive shop. Juice was wonderful.
