Metro Studios Tattoos

I called on Wednesday 7/25/18 and spoke with Tex. I explained that my sister was in from out of state and we would like to get a tattoo together but, she was leaving to head back on Friday morning, so Thursday was the ONLY day. I knew it was EXTREMELY short notice and the odds of being able to get an appt was slim. Tex said to text him the photo ideas and once he was done working on his current client, he would call me and we could discuss the details but he said he could see about fitting us in. I text him several photos and waited and waited and waited. I text him again, several hours after the shop had closed, still no response. I called on Thursday morning as soon as the shop opened, 11am. I asked if Tex was working and they said he was not in today. I explained the situation and they asked me to hold, suddenly a new voice is on the line and they sounded half asleep. They did not introduce themselves and we had an awkward exchange of pleasantries, once I figure out that I was speaking to Tex, I explain again that I followed his instructions and I wasn't sure if I had the proper phone number. He confirms that I did have the correct number and he said he did receive my messages, long awkward silence.... I ask if we can schedule an appt for today and he says that Friday would be better, I remind him that my sister will be gone and I also say that I completely understand that this was super short notice.
My complaint isn't that he couldn't fit us in, it was the unprofessional way it was handled. Why couldn't you reply to my text with a short message letting me know you got my text and there were no openings available? Why when I called and asked if Tex was working, I was lied to and told he wasn't, yet suddenly he's on the phone?! I was super excited about possibly finding a new artist to work with and I was more than willing to drive an hour from Detroit, to Howell. I guess I'll keep looking.

My wife and I got tattoos recently and were very pleased with the staff and experience. Our tattoo artist, Britt, was great to work with and we would highly recommend.

Walked in and had some questions about my tattoo. Tex helped me right away and was extremely helpful. Did my tattoo right away and was amazing with explaining everything and making sure I was comfortable.

Excellent customer service! Britt helped me pick a good placement for my tattoo and was extremely accommodating and friendly. I will definitely be back!

I wish I could leave a review with zero stars… I came in and made an appointment, came in and did the paperwork and then sat in the lobby for 40 mins and no one ever came back. Just people going in and out to smoke. Ended up leaving. Waste of time! Don’t bother!

Igor is not only a great artist but an amazing person as well. He has done every one of my tattoos and I dont think I'll go to another artist.

First time I got ink (a Fox my granddaughter drew). The artist, Britt, was very attentive to the smallest detail in creating an exact copy of a memory. Very personable and informative. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend this studio, all of the artists are obviously very knowledgeable. Working with Sean was awesome and the memorial tattoo he did for my grandma is beautiful

Was in last week. Artists and owners were great people! Would definitely recommend. Metro studios is a cool little addition to historic downtown Howell.

I wanted to get a tattoo for my grandchildren of which I have 7 I told the tattoo artist “Huck” that I wanted butterflies one for each and the tattoo he designed was beautiful. I highly recommend this place very professional and friendly.
