I've not had any work done here but I would only go to them for my first tattoo or a new piercing. They are friendly with great customer service. They tried to help me save a dermal piercing that I had. Really appreciated their help.

i flew in from utah and decided to get a new tattoo and piercing. jason did amazing on my tattoo he paid attention to detail and made sure i was comfortable thank you so much 😊 and byron did my lip piercing with precision quick and clean! the environment is great and lexi is so nice and welcoming. perfect edition to my visit ❤️

This tattoo shop is second to none. Customer service and professionalism is paramount, not only that, but it's a true black owned and operated business where the tattoo artists are indeed artists! They are exceptional at their work! Out of the 14 tattoos that I have, 8 of them were done by 3 of the artists within the shop, and 1 by a visiting artist from the ladies of ink tour! And my 15th and 16th are scheduled this September! Definitely get in line here it's well worth the wait and the incredible artistry.

I would recommend this establishment (Detroit Gem) to all individuals looking for quality service for reasonable prices. The receptionist was awesome and the artist Prell did an exceptional job restoring my tattoo that was distorted. Therefore, I am very happy and will be sharing with my family and friends.

Me and my fiance went here after calling at least 6 other places to get a tattoo on the same day and they were the only ones who stayed they could do a walk in tattoo. It's down the street from our house and we are so pleased. They had a guest artist @jenntattooess from new York and she was amazing! We were seen right away, she drew a sketch up while we waited. The facility was clean and secure and everyone was professional. She took us in back and opened all supplies in front of us. Was very clean. She was funny and kept us laughing. We will definitely be returning for more work.
