Dark Harbor Tattoo

The shop is in the heart of the Old Port, in a basement level building. Inside are exposed brick walls, wooden beams and painted walls covered in art. Friendly staff, immaculately clean. Their word of mouth reputation was on point. Also have to give accolades to Nick Holes, who gave my daughter a perfect cartilage piercing for her 17th Birthday. He took great care of her and gave excellent after care instructions.

I wish no stars was an option. Made appointment for matching tattoos with my husband for the last day of our honeymoon. I had called several studios for an appointment and this was the only shop were available us in for a 2pm appointment. I received a call today from an artist, from a Rhode Island phone number) and I responded I already have an appointment he said thank you and hung up (thinking it was another studio). When I arrive they tell me he rescheduled our appointments because of the misunderstanding, he can fit us in later if we wanted to wait. I told her I could not wait because were leaving today and we waited 3 extra hours. At no point did Mitch clarify that my appointment was with him. The girl who came down confidently told me it was my fault for the confusion. So rude and unwelcoming. She spoke as if she was doing me a favor for a paid service. If never book here again.

We are from New Jersey and me and my best friend came and got tattoos. Best tattoo shop we have been to!!! They are so high tech and the staff is great! Tori was our artist and we are so flabbergasted on how wonderful they turned out! Very clean, very efficient.

It had been a couple years since my last tattoo and I was craving some
Ink my husband and I had been looking around and comparing some work of several artists in the area. We stumbled on dark harbor on a Sunday funday out In Portland you feel super comfortable when you walk through the door! I ended up getting an arm tatto of an amazing American traditional rooster from Nick and I’m so in love! The place is clean and the artists and piercer where all super AWSOME and welcoming we scheduled a few more tats and a piercing for two weeks out and I couldn’t be more excited! No matter what your looking for someone in their has got you covered!!!!!

I called and imquired about a nose piercing and was told I could walk in as they werent taking appointments. I showed up 10 minutes and called to be let in the building to be told they were full and wasnt doing anyone else aftet I had just paid for parking. I told the girl on the phone, i had just called amd that makes no sense as she did not relay that information to me. Poor communication and lack of care for customers time and commute. On top of that she had a dont care attitude. I would never go back there.

Walked in on a weekday for a piercing - staff is super friendly and welcoming, especially Nick the piercer. He was kind, perceptive, professional, cracked a few jokes, and took ample time to explain the process and aftercare. He's seriously a pro! Easy sign-in process via iPad is a plus. Cards accepted.

Healed up perfectly! It was pretty much healed in about a week! I'm still super excited about how this came out! Thanks again to Steve! Go to Dark Harbor!!!!

When i tell you this is the easiest healing process ive ever had with a tattoo i mean it. The linework is beautiful, their shop in of itself is gorgeous the vibes feel incredibly safe and friendly. I could rave about my experience here all day but ill let the photo speak for itself.

I got tattooed by Tori today, and it was by far the best experience I had getting a tattoo! She took the time to make sure I got what I wanted, and the work she did was impeccable!

I will definitely be going back to get more art work done by them!
