The Asylum Tattoo And Art Gallery: A Mixed Bag of Reviews
The Asylum Tattoo And Art Gallery is a tattoo shop located in Owensboro, Kentucky. The shop offers a variety of tattoo and piercing services, and is open from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM from Tuesday to Saturday. The shop is closed on Mondays and Sundays.
Customer reviews of the shop are mixed. Some customers have had positive experiences, with one reviewer praising the shop's owner, David Burk, as the "best" artist. Another reviewer was "very satisfied" with the work done by Danny, who did an "amazing cover-up for a fair price and in a timely manner."
However, other customers have had negative experiences. One reviewer complained that the shop was "very unprofessional" and that the artist did not use a clamp for a horizontal tongue piercing. Another reviewer had an appointment but found the shop closed when they arrived. Another reviewer complained that Danny was more interested in flirting with 17-year-old girls than doing tattoos.
Overall, it seems that The Asylum Tattoo And Art Gallery is a mixed bag. Some customers have had positive experiences, while others have had negative experiences. If you are considering getting a tattoo or piercing at this shop, it may be worth reading through the reviews carefully to determine if it is the right fit for you.

They were very unprofessional and as soon as we walked in it smelled like cigarettes and everyone was sitting around talking except for one person who was doing everything. We waited about an hour for Danny to finish up a tattoo which looked good so that was comforting. Then paperwork was signed and then we went to one of the setups went went on with it. He didn't use a clamp and absolutely just moved the needle round and round to "find the other hole." It was a horizontal tongue piercing btw. It ended up being taken out because the jewelry was too small for the amount of swelling and we went to contact them on Facebook where they were more than happy enough to talk to us about the piercing before doing it, and they left us on open which they have don previously after giving sloppy tattoos. They will get you in there to get your money and then not communicate with you until you want more things done. Wouldn't recommend, go to Lady Luck or Shaka instead. I haven't been to Shaka but I'll bet that it is much better.

Very satisfied with my experience with Danny. He did an amazing cover-up for a fair price and in a timely manner. He's very friendly and is great at what he does. I feel some mistake his friendliness for flirting. My husband and I visited his shop and all 3 of us carried on good conversation for the entire 2.5 hours we were there. He's great at what he does. I've only had 2 tats counting this one i got today If I decide to add more art to my body Danny will be the guy to do the job. Highly recommend him. Thanks again Danny!
