Just got a double conch piercing done by Kevin. He did AMAZING! I love this dude! He was extremely nice, professional and very patient. Was very clean, he cleaned before I entered the room and right after I left. 10/10 would go again, highly recommend!

I got my medusa pierced the other day. I recommend this place above anyone in Louisville. Tattoo Charlie's piercer is NEVER in house and very unreliable. The person who did my medusa was so professional and knowledgeable about anatomy and the business in general. The medusa piercing in itself is not supposed to be pleasant, it was painful but I am 100% it would have been much worse if someone inexperienced or not as concerned about doing the right job had done it. He was amazing. Best experience I've had in that setting.
If you have younger teens getting nose studs or different ear piercings, I recommend. I had tons of kids in front of me getting them done and all came out beaming from ear to ear with happy parents. Thank you Artfully Insane! ALL OF YOUR STAFF WERE SO NICE AND PROFESSIONAL!

I've been pierced by both Doc and Kevin over the years. Not only do they do great work and have tons of knowledge (you can ask them anything, and they will likely have an answer), but their prices haven't changed in several years. Other shops, not so much. I've never had an issue, and preach their aftercare instructions to others. Won't go anywhere else!!

I got my conch pierced in April. Kevin (who reminds me quite a bit of Bob Ross) was very friendly, and he talked me through the entire process. I didn't bleed, and it is healing very well! Doc pierced my sister's nose years ago, and it was perfect, too. The shop is extremely clean and well lit.

I had a completely unprofessional navel piercing at hard life tattoo on one of their Friday the 13th piercing sales and that was a bad idea but i had no idea it'd be like that i was recommend by a fried well I got it done and it was done crookedly and with improper stater jewelry so i talked to other friends and they recommended me to go to Artfully Insane to see if they could fix it or to give me advice. i reached out to them via email because i wasn't able to stop into the shop until the following weekend and I wanted to act on the matter ASAP. They responded to me very fast and with the best advice possible I haven't got my piercing done yet and I know this a quality place just for the simple fact they returned my emails so quickly and helped me without knowing me and without me coming in. needless to say soon as my wound heals this will be the place I rerun to get any new piercings especially my navel.

I got my helix piercing here, and the experience was great, but after about a month or so I experienced great discomfort. I remembered that my piercer told me if i had any issues, to give the shop a call or to stop by. I decided to stop by due to the amount of swelling and discomfort i was experiencing, i knew it was abnormal. Kevin changed out my piercing to a larger size and a day later i am feeling amazing, no pain! The swelling has gone down significantly. I highly recommend going to a place like this that really cares about the health of the customer. I am overall very pleased, and WILL come back if i get any more piercings or ink 😊

Wonderful, I got a peircing, they were very professional, made me comfortable. And for all old Body Art Emporium fans that thought they closed...they didn't. They moved and renamed to Artfully Insane. Doc a piercer 40 yrs. Kevin 15 yrs. Go there for quality peircing and jewelry.

I read the reviews and went to see doc for nipple piercing. I was super nervous at first but he calmed me down. Made me felt like I’ve known him my whole life. I would recommend anyone and everyone to come here!
