I’ve had nothing but positive experiences at Geniune Tattoo. I 100% read and understood his rules online.
Shannon has done half my leg and we are working on my first sleeve.
Shannon has been nothing but great. He’s honest and straight forward. Pretty much says it how it is, no beating around the bush.
I’d rather my artist to be truthful and direct before hand instead of after the fact.
His art studio is quite unique, it smells just like a building that is 123 years old should smell. There’s so much potential to the studio and Shannon spends countless hours working on the studio.
I for one can’t wait to see the finished product. I find the studio much more relaxing with the openness of the studio. Not jammed in a small shop that most shops have today.
I also enjoy the incense, they add to the relaxing atmosphere.
This studio is what I always imagined a tattoo studio to be. Welcoming and relaxing.
I plan on coming back until he runs out of ink or I run out skin.

Rude guy works there and everything is overpriced and it stank. edit: I get that we did not read the website, we just read the facebook page and that’s our fault. My first thoughts going into the place was that it smelt bad and I enjoy incense not sure what kind you use. Even so you had no reason to give us an inappropriate analogy like that and one of my friends said you used a similar one for her. Your opinion on piercing a minor being worse isn’t valid. I am not a child and neither is my mother. This isn’t hardly a “campaign” it’s like 7 people and you are just getting the reviews you deserve. Considering a lot of other reviewers are saying you were rude in past years. No one wants to come to an establishment where you overprice things yet, still treat them unkindly. At the end of the day you could have just left it off with “Sorry, it said that on the website and I don’t feel comfortable piercing a minor,” but you didn’t. Have the day you deserve.
amazing ayla
Rude man used an inappropriate analogy to a seventeen year old to express why getting a nose piercing was bad. (response to owner). Tell me when is it ever okay to bring up private parts to a minor where you have no legal relationship too? I get you don’t pierce minors but to get respect to have to give respect. There was absolutely no point in lecturing a family nor try and make them feel bad for letting their son do what they want to their body cause it is their body. you simply could have said “sorry i don’t pierce minors and it said the on the website”. Your opinion is your opinion but other have their own opinions too. Sorry not everyone thinks like you do.

First tattoo experience and didn't hurt! Loved my tattoo! Color seems to be staying just fine (week 3)

Absolutely amazing work, can't begin to explain how grateful for this tattoo, and the meaning behind it.

Not worth it. // I have no idea who ‘Max Jacob’ is, but being unable to accept negative feedback is really showing the unprofessionalism here. I had a bad experience of my own and got grouped in with a group of people who I have no relations to. Can now confirm it is REALLY not worth it. Also can’t help but agree with their reviews when they say it reeks.

Shannon is awesome I’m normally super shy and quiet and had never gone alone to get a tattoo before but it didn’t seem to bother him to much and he made the whole experience comfortable and his work is amazing.

Went in a while ago, and got some filler pieces done. Was priced at 70$ per quarter sized flower, and got seven of them, which I thought was steep but I paid with no complaints. 2 of them didn’t heal correctly so after a couple weeks I reached out to the guy who had done them to ask For a touch up. Usually reputable shops do them for free, and I have even paid before for touch ups. I just wanted it done. He left me on read. I would have been happy with a no.
Second time I called about getting something behind my ears done. Again super small - when I called ahead they quoted me at 280 for what I wanted( two half dollar sized playboy bunny tattoos behind my ears). I asked the gentleman on the line why it was so expensive, and he just said it was shop minimum. I understand every shop has a different minimum, but for what I was wanting that was outrageous. I went to another shop and got the same size (different design) for a more fair price considering the placement, detail and size.

They would not let a seventeen year old get their nose pierced and he would have slayed it up.

Zi Tam was awesome and super great at answering my questions about my very first tattoo. It came out perfect and I couldn't be happier with the result.
I'd love to travel back from out of state to work with him again.
Edit: a month after my visit and I wish I could leave ten stars. I'm looking forward to an excuse to travel from out of state to visit again.
