I went in to get my double tragus piercing done, the front desk was very nice the guy answered all my questions including showing me the jewelry, and yes you do need to make an appointment. Heather was my piercer, she was very nice, professional, the utensils were also cleaned and new, and she was very QUICK! I would come again for another :)

Kristin and her co-workers were very nice and extremely patient! Appointments are required to enter the shop, as well as proof of vaccination. Well I was late getting there, then I couldn't find my vaxx card! Kristin assured me it was fine, and that they were there until 5pm. Just let them know if I would be back that day.
Low-and-behold, I walked back to the lot behind Cholita's, and found the pic I had snapped of my vaxx card. Walked back to the store, and they were just a sweet and gracious.
Kristin showed me what was available in the material I wanted, and also showed me hot to remove my piercing (I had tried previously but was afraid my heavy hands would break the ring.
This is my second time coming to the store to purchase and switch out jewelry. And I always have a great experience.
They have a repeat customer in me

I had a negative piercing experience with Metamorphosis in 2019. I waited until now to write this review because that was my first piercing as an adult, and now I've had my second piercing at another shop, so I have something else to compare it to.
First, the pros: very clean and sterile, the piercing itself was quick and well-placed (IIRC the owner did my piercing, and she was great), and Metamorphosis has a very cool vibe.
The cons: It seems to be a place that feels welcoming to some and not to others. Unfortunately, I fell in the "others" group. It wasn't a big deal until after my piercing, when I started having problems with its healing. It took a year for my lobe piercings to heal, which is uncommon. During that year, I went back for help/treatment three times, as my lobes were painful, raw, and irritated the entire year.
The first time, I came in later in the day when there were no other customers. I asked for them to examine my piercing to see what the problem was. The employee who addressed me didn't get close enough to my ear to see it. From a distance she dismissed me with a "stop touching it, and sleep on a travel pillow" (advice I was already following).
I came back some time later when it still hadn't improved. This time, an employee took me back to a room and examined my ears up close. She thought the problem was water getting trapped at the back by the flat backs they'd used, and switched out my jewelry for a different back. This was a much better experience, but when I asked when I should come back if it still wasn't healing, she told me I wasn't going to have problems with it anymore. When I asked again, she said, come back in a few weeks if it's still giving you trouble.
After a few weeks, nothing had changed. I went back to the shop at some point and explained the situation. With no expression of concern that it had now been months that my ears had been painfully inflamed, I was told to wait. I left after a few minutes and decided to go to another shop to see if I could get some assistance from them.
Throughout the process, I felt unheard and like an inconvenience. After I stopped following their aftercare advice and switched out the jewelry, my lobes finally healed. I don't know if it was the way I'd interpreted their aftercare advice, or if I was allergic to their jewelry, or if it was a coincidence. I just know that I wasn't as comfortable continuing to ask for them to help me as I'd like to have been.
I recently had a helix piercing at another shop. I've had no problems with it yet. If I did, though, I'm confident the people at this other shop would help me gladly. I didn't feel that way at Metamorphosis. For the cost and reputation I would expect better care. Maybe things have improved over the past year.
This was just my experience. I can't say for sure that my piercings would have healed faster had they given better care, because sometimes piercings just don't take. I also can't say for sure that their aftercare instructions were bad, because it was my first piercing since I was 12 at Claire's, and I may have misinterpreted them. The problem for me was that I felt dismissed when I was trying to troubleshoot what was going wrong. I don't think they're a bad shop, I just don't think they're the best option for everyone.

Everyone on the staff that I encountered and saw were so nice and courteous. I was personally there to see Paige, for a touch-up. I am absolutely in love with my piece. I gave her my vision and she came up with something even better! I felt like I was being picky about little details and she reassured me there was no need for that which was a good feeling. I will definitely be going back for more and I hope to be able to go back for some jewelry, they have so many pretty things.

Called in to just to see if it was necessary for an appointment to browse and see the cleanliness of their shop. Lady on the phone was pretty rude about it. Seems more like just a piercing place or they think they are too good for some customers.

Heather and Paige are both tremendous piercers β most recently I got a conch piercing and barely felt Paige do it! Grateful for this Broad Ripple mainstay.

Today was my third time getting pierced at Metamorphosis. First in 2013, then 2017, now 2021.
Front of house and literally any employee you come into contact with are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.
First two experiences were with Kristin for my eyebrow then a forward helix and helix. All three were perfectly done! Today I got my daith and another helix piercing by Paige. She carefully explained everything she was doing and checked in on me. She was so fun and friendly. Iβm so incredibly happy with all of my experiences!
Yes, jewelry can run pretty high but itβs quality product and to me the confidence of the quality items is worth the price when it comes to piercings.
Will definitely be back and look forward to curating my ears! I wouldnβt want to get pierced anywhere els e

I havenβt had any piercings in about 15 years and they were just basic lobes and a cartilage that I got with a piercing gun. I came here to get second holes (upper earlobes) done properly with a needle.
Time: I came in around 8 pm on a Friday and it wasnβt busy. I was able to fill out the paperwork, pick out jewelry, and get the piercings done in less than 30 min.
Staff: I was kindly greeted and they patiently waited as I looked for what jewelry I wanted and filling out the paperwork. Heather did my piercings. I was nervous but felt completely comfortable by her laid back and kind personality. She explained the process and let me know exactly what she was doing so I had no surprises. The piercings felt like a quick shot in my ear and have been slightly sore that evening, and pain free the next day. Heather was the best!!
Cleanliness: this was my first experience in a place for tattoos and piercings. Everything was very clean. Each station I walked by was organized and clean. The room I got my piercings in was clean and Heather used two different needles to do my piercings and properly disposed of the needles.
I would recommend anyone looking for a place to get piercing to come here.
