Review of To the Point Tattoo Studio

To the Point Tattoo Studio: A Mixed Bag of Reviews

If you're looking for a tattoo or piercing, To the Point Tattoo Studio in Crestwood, Illinois, might be on your list. However, before you go, you should know that the reviews for this business are mixed.

Some customers have had positive experiences at To the Point, praising the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the work. One customer even got their first tattoo here and raved about how welcoming and caring the artists were. Another customer had a great experience getting their nose pierced and appreciated the chill vibe of the studio.

However, other customers have had negative experiences at To the Point. One customer brought their daughter in for a tongue piercing, only to be told that the piercer couldn't do it because of too much webbing. The customer was also upset that the piercer lied about Illinois state law regarding mouth piercings on minors. Another customer got both sides of their nose pierced, only to find out that they were uneven. When they called to have it corrected, they were told they had to pay again and the piercer was aggressive with them on the phone.

Overall, To the Point Tattoo Studio seems to be a mixed bag. While some customers have had great experiences, others have had negative experiences with the staff and the quality of the work. If you do decide to go to To the Point, be sure to do your research and read reviews from multiple sources before making a decision.

I’ve been to To the Point maybe 10 years ago and had zero issues. I attempted to bring my 16 (17 in July) year old in for a tongue piercing. We showed up one day at 1pm on a Monday and no one was there. So before we decided to go again, I called. I spoke to the piercer and he said that he lives far and sometimes traffic is really bad so he typically gets there a little late. Okay fine. He said he could a traditional straight up and down for my daughter. Great! I spoke to him on one additional occasion just to reassure and I was given the same information. So we finally came in and told him we wanted to get the traditional tongue piercing for my 16 year old. He asked her to show her tongue and then said he can’t do it because she has too much webbing. Then proceeded to tell us that Illinois state law states that they can’t perform mouth piercings on anyone under 18 (this is not correct by the way) I asked why didn’t he inform us of that when I spoke to him on two separate occasions. He denied that we ever spoke and implied that I must have called a different shop completely insulting my intelligence. If he wasn’t comfortable doing the piercing due to the amount of webbing my daughter has then he could have just said that instead of lying and turning this around on us. We went to a different shop 5 minutes away and received amazing customer service and got the piercing with no issues. My daughter wants to become a piercer and their advice to us was actually to AVOID To The Point and The Reef. Will do!
