I had to take my time with this review so that I would not miss anything . This experience deserves to be shared. I made the decision to get a tattoo of my grandmother who passed a few years ago. It was important for me to do this on or near my birthday because I lost her on my birthday. There were other artist who were willing to take me but they were all booked for my birthday because I waited till the last minute. I hash tagged #chicagoportraittattoos and every portrait that I saw that I actually liked happened to be by the same artist, Tony. I went to his website (which was VeRY professional ) and requested the date I wanted. I really thought since he was so good I would not hear back from him anytime soon so I left it alone. Not too long after I received a message from Tony and the rest is history. I loved the fact that he worked on the stencil for my grandmother the night before and he really took his time. We talked about placement and he made a suggestion without being overbearing. I went with his suggestion and I’m so happy I did. Meeting tony was great! He was so nice and kept me smiling as he complimented the picture of my grandmother. This meant a lot to me because he saw the beauty in this woman that meant the world to me. We started Monday and he finished Tuesday morning (which was my birthday). This meant the world to me because I got to bring in my birthday getting my tattoo. Tony made sure I was comfortable the entire time and kept me and my husband laughing. His conversation was great and his customer service was even better. He was incredibly gentle with me and gave me the best tattoo I have ever seen. My entire family says this tattoo takes their breath away. He managed to squeeze every single detail onto my arm. His shop was BEAUTIFUL and colorful and omg he was so clean and organized (my husband is a neat freak and even he was amazed). He taught me in detail about aftercare . What I really loved was that he spent a time to do a mini photo shoot of my arm. It showed me that he was proud of his work. When we were done I knew that he had given this his all . It’s been a day since I got the tattoo and I can’t stop looking at it. I love the fact that I now carry my granny with me everywhere I go. Someone asked to see my tattoo today and she gasped because she said it looked so real. I want more tattoos and I can’t see myself going to anyone else except for Tony! He is truly AMAZING!!!
