My son and I decided we wanted to get tattoos to commemorate our visit to the islands. We googled tattoo shops in Kappa'a and came up with three, none of which were Aloha Moon. Not one of them answered or returned messages. The day before we flew out we happened to see Santiagos shop while walking around. We called him up and he readily agreed to see us the next day. Santiago was professional, quick and super laid back. My son and I both love our tattoos! Bonus points for having Mochi(sp?) there so we could get puppy lovins. 😊 I have already decided it is well worth the trip to Kauai for future ink!!!

Santiago is an excellent artist. He went to art school and runs a successful art business on Kaua’i and has paintings all over the world probably by now. He parlayed his talents to tattoos as a teen and for a time set up on Venice Beach. He started tattooing in Kapaa on Kaua’i. I’m delighted with the ink he touched on my old tattoo (gotten elsewhere in ‘95 that needed refreshing). I’ve seen Santiago’s originals and he’s awesome! He’s also a musician. He rocks!!! I highly recommend him.

Getting my tattoo done at aloha moon was such a pleasant experience, the shop itself is lovely and only a few steps away from the beach. Santiago was very flexible and worked with me to create a really nice design. The tattoo itself came out killer, def will be coming back if I ever get the urge to get more ink.
