New Era Ink Tattoo Studio

I went here back in December to get my nose pierced and the piercer was really nice and gave great advice on how to care for the piercing. After following advice, I haven’t had any issues. Great atmosphere as well!

Got my husband his first tattoo and they did mine almost two years ago . They were awesome ! And with covid going on they let me do most of the pre-tattoo stuff via the internet. They really made sure my husband would love his tattoo and placement offering advice but also listening to what he wanted and why. Chris was our artist but honestly they all seemed super nice to work with !

I came in to New Era with a a double cartilage piercing done by a different shop in Statesboro. My ear did not take the original earrings I was given from the prior shop. My ear bled constantly and I had a large bump surrounding my lower piercing. I was cleaning my piercings the way I was instructed at the prior shop. Danie ,the piercer at New Era, told me the bump was tissue that had been pushed out by the cheaper earrings I had been pierced with. She cleaned my ear and replaced my piercings with high quality jewelry and even showed me the difference between her piercing jewelry and the ones I had prior. She showed me nothing but kindness while I was there, which I greatly appreciated. When I left the shop my ear was no longer red, bleeding, or painful to the touch. I hold a lot of respect for people like Danie who care about their customers and their after experiences with piercings and aren't just worried about the money. If you want a clean, friendly staffed, and pleasant experience for your next piercing I suggest you visit New Era Ink.

I got my piercings done by Hooks and she was amazing. She was very comforting and helpful when it came to thing I needed to know such as what to expect and after care!

My sister, mom, and I had tattoos done on September 25, 2021 by Rebecca Puff Fetters. Our appointments started at 3:00pm. My sister had made the appointments and arrangements with the artist for all of us several weeks ahead of time. We were all getting a matching margarita glass. The tattoo design requested was basically a simple 3” flash-style piece.

Once we arrived, Rebecca let us know she had only been tattooing since January. Although apprehensive, I didn’t think anything could go wrong due to the simple design and small size. I am not unhappy with the tattoos. The glass stems are a little crooked and the bottoms are distorted, but overall acceptable. The results were in line with what you would expect from a new artist. She was very excited about her work and announced to a coworker that she was now a member of the “fine line” club or something to that effect. She took an hour to complete the piece, but I understand a new artist hasn’t perfected an efficient flow. She stopped to refill ink, repositioned, etc.

My mom’s tattoo took about an hour as well. After the combined two hours, she let us know that she is taking a break to eat and would do my sister’s tattoo after her break. After her hour-long dinner break, my sister’s tattoo was completed. This one also took about an hour. More consideration in booking appointments around a dinner break would have been appreciated.

It was time to pay and she asked if my sister had received a quote from her beforehand. Unfortunately, my sister had not. When my mom asked what her hourly rate is, she did not provide that information and said she is charging us by the piece instead. She charged $160.00 for EACH tattoo. In shock, I mentioned that was a very steep price considering her experience, the design only being drawn once, and the size of the tattoos. For reference I have many tattoos, am familiar with the current prices, and had a large custom piece done elsewhere merely four weeks prior.

I don’t want to bash a new artist, but there is a lot more to the business than simply doing the tattoos. She would benefit from educating herself in other aspects of the business, such as customer service and pricing guidelines commensurate with her experience. We paid of course, but for these reasons we will not be a repeat clients.

Definitely recommend getting tatted here. Sanford did my first tattoo and he talked me through it and did amazing beautiful work. The whole place was clean and he made sure to let me know he was using a new needle and ink. Love the whole staff, and coming back there for my next one!

I love the atmosphere there. It was clean she was very helpful and gave her honest opinion. The piercing itself did not hurt at all. Overall I will be back again.

Hands down my favorite tattoo shop in Statesboro. Every part of the process was smooth and pleasant from making my appointment to actually getting the tattoo. Daniel is so skilled in what he does and made me feel extremely comfortable with getting my tattoos done. I will definitely be going back.

The absolute best tattoo shop in Statesboro is New Era Ink. Hands down. The Master artist Daniel, has truly earned his name of being Master artist. His work is very neat. His shop is very clean. He does a great job with executing the most beautiful tattoos one could ask for. The prices are also just as great as his work. He creates a nice calm and relaxed environment while waiting for your work. The staff, Jimmy NEWtron and piercer Courtney are also very helpful and knowledgeable about tattoos and piercings. I would recommend Daniel,Jimmy, and Courtney at New Era Ink over any Tattoo shop/studio in the Statesboro area. They are Amazing.
