Karen is amazing. She is so friendly and easy to talk to. One of the things that’s always deterred me from certain tattoo artists are they way they treat their customers and act as if they know better than you. Karen is willing to talk WITH you about your tattoo designs and what she believes would look best rather than telling you what to do. We were here on a one year anniversary trip and got matching tattoos. We had a great time with her! Highly recommend!!

I went yesterday evening and arrived a little after 5:30 as a walk in and didn’t wait too long at all (closed at 6 and didn’t realize how close I was to closing I was). The piercing was only $50 and the process was great! I loved how polite Karen was and how she walked me throughout the cleaning process and the actual piercing process as well. She is so sweet, kind, and funny and as a 18 year old who’s from out of town, I definitely recommend her!

Karen is so awesome. I have a half sleeve, my feet and thighs and arms tattooed all over, and most of it has been with one artist who I no longer live near. So I’ve had to look around… I’ve had a bad experience with some artists who are a bit cocky and I end up unhappy or feeling like I overpaid. Karen was exactly the opposite of that. I was lucky enough to be able to walk on in, talk ideas with her, and she helped me finalize my vision (it was spontaneous- all my tattoos have been for the most part For the last 16 years and I don’t regret a single one) and it came out amazing, she was quick, and compared to all the work I’ve had done, her skill is refined - she knows what she’s doing. She goes exactly as deep as is needed with black ink and no deeper, which is hard for a lot of artists to gauge and can be the difference between your tattoo lasting decades or needing touch ups. Also, my healing with her work was painless and fast. She also had awesome rates and I was shocked at how reasonable she was since so many artists are price gouging right now because this is a luxury, not a necessity. But that doesn’t mean they have to exploit customers and Karen didn’t. I left happy and in a timely manner. 10/10, wish I found her sooner and will be back for much more!!

Four close friends and I wanted to get tattoos to commemorate a really meaningful time in our lives and unfortunately this shop could do nothing but prevent that from happening. We had all emailed Karen our tattoo requests (like she had asked) and she never responded. We showed up on time and immediately she told us to wait because she "was finishing a small tattoo" on a person who was already there. She proceeded to START the tattoo at 2 pm, the time our appointment was at. She was very lax and unprofessional the entire time. She didn't apologize, explain shop procedures, or make us feel that she would take good care of us. An HOUR later, she finished the other person's tattoo, then tells us that she was just going to quickly pierce the nose of someone who had walked in during our wait. We awkwardly said okay and got ready to wait again. The person getting their nose pierced was clearly nervous from the start and we watched Karen tell her to calm down and that she wouldn't have her "behave like this" in her shop. She made the person lay down, literally sobbing at this point, and told her she hoped they never got a piercing at her shop again. We walked out when the person literally started to scream. We waited an hour after a scheduled appointment only to walk out after watching the poor person be horribly mistreated by this insensitive, unprofessional woman. The only positive was that we saved ourselves from being tattooed here.

I had two cartilage piercings stuck in my ear for years. I tried everything to get them removed myself but I had no luck. Karen was absolutely wonderful! She is extremely professional and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. She took her time to make sure the process was painless and I was grateful for that. I highly recommend this shop. Thank you again Karen!

Had a simple shark outline tattooed on my bicep. Karen was great! Not heavy handed at all! Very minimal scabbing during the healing process. Very nice, straight, solid lines. Shop was very clean and sanitary as well as the artist. Will definitely be returning for more ink and piercing.

Karen was so good , understanding the importance of the writing I had on arm and the symbol of fog prints on foot. Will go back there for more tats in future and will tell my friends about her as an artist.

Karen was the tattooist and she was absolutely excellent. Very good prices and while I was waiting other people came in to get pierced and asked nicely if I would wait which was no problem for me. She explained to the customer every step of the process and even did a baby who since she was so gentle didn't cry much.
As she was doing my tat she kept me talking so I wasn't aware of it possibly hurting which didn't.
I also appreciate that you had to do cash only which kept it as a mom and pop place. I will ABSOLUTELY go back and when my husband is ready for his tat we will no doubt DEFINITELY go there.

I did a tattoo for the first time and I am pleasantly surprised by the approach to the client, professional advice and service, she explained in a simple way what I can expect during and after the tattoo. I already have an idea for the next tattoo and I will definitely go there. I recommend the place, it's clean and tidy and of course nice music.

if i could rate it 10 stars i would. Eternal Art is the most comforting and talented tattoo shop in sarasota. Karen, my tattoo artist, is the sweetest human on earth. the place is kept bright, clean, smelling good, and aesthetic. i came here after going to Z-edge tattoo shop where the artist was rude, smelled bad, and refused to tattoo me because it was “too small”. Karen made it possible! My experience was incredible and her hand is so light i barely felt a thing. she gave me all these tricks about placement and hacks on how to take care of it. 10/10 will be coming back, Karen is the best!!
