Last year, I got 3 tattoos here by Marco and left really satisfied. I got a Hendrix, a loteria tattoo, and one of his original pieces and left happier than I expected. He has a great style of color and he covered up one of my old tattoos with excellent technique. The place is very inviting and has the vibe that makes you want to say. It's huge and looks like a collaborative that provides hot coffee, lounge area, and looks like they have classes on tattoos there. Best place ever. Everyone is really nice and cool.

Been going to this shop for years, and can always count on having a good experience getting tattooed. Natalia Marin is a phenomenal tattoo artist, with the best flash art and consistently produces quality work. She provides a safe space for your tattoo ideas and creates pieces that will last a lifetime. 5/5 would recommend.

Super talented artists. Very comfortable and cool studio with dope art and a coffee bar in front. John Vale is a genius and my go to artist.

I wanted to try them out so I came in with a very simple tattoo idea. Marco made me so comfortable I told him the tattoo I’ve always wanted. I don’t plan on going anywhere else in the future.

I got my first tattoo at Ocho Placas around 5 years ago. I've gotten several pieces from different artists at the shop, all healed great. Quinn is my main artist and has been for the last few years, he's always willing to go the extra mile and put in the hours it takes to have you walk out with a great tattoo. If you're in the Miami area and are looking for a reliable fine line artist, you wont find anyone better. Overall great atmosphere & fair pricing, honestly the best group of artists in Miami. Highly recommend this shop!

The best tattoo shop in Miami, hands down. Everyone there is great at what they do, all with their own styles, but also all pretty versatile. I have been tattooed there 10 times and have had nothing but great experiences from Javier, Quinn, and the rest of the team. Thanks guys!

One of the coolest tattoo shops I’ve ever been to. The place itself is spacious and beautiful, I really dig the coffee up front, the people are all wonderful. Justin, who’s helped me out with scheduling, payments, etc., is a super friendly and approachable guy. Quinn has tattooed me three times; each time has been fun and comfortable and easy, and on top of that he’s an insane artist. Also: I came in once for a walk in and John gave me a super sick tattoo. So stoked to have discovered this place.

Great customer service and beautiful parlor, however I was disappointed with how Quinn handled my appointment. I had a consultation with Quinn last week where we discussed my idea for the tattoo and I sent 10 photos for him to work on the sketch immediately following. My appointment was set for May 5th at 12pm (less than a week after the consultation) which I was really excited about. I arrived on time but Quinn was 1hr 48mins late. When he finally arrived he had no mock draft of the tattoo and was asking me questions that we had discussed in the consultation. An additional 38mins passed and there was still no mock of the tattoo. I asked to reschedule and was told I would have to wait until mid July. I know I should have walked out after 15 minutes, but was giving the artist the benefit of the doubt for being close to 2 hours late. Hope no one experiences this waste of time and hope the review helps!

Finding good Fineline B&W artists is a mission. New to Miami, undoubtedly I had to get something to remember my short stay by and after doing my homework (which most don’t do), I stumbled on Ocho Placas. The styles I preferred were either Javier B and Quinn. Both possess equally phenomenal linework, and that’s not to detract from the other artists as OP will suit any style (traditional, color, etc) and those artists are also of high quality. The shop itself is very clean with high standards therefore will produce clean work.

Javier was booked out so I opted with Quinn. Equally happy because both have similar style but still stylistically their own. I came in with a few ideas and back up ideas that I was toying with for a while. I finally settled on traditional B&W swallows. Quinn was a professional in every aspect, from brainstorming to execution. Fineline relates directly to having good hand-eye coordination, and once we decided on a size, perfectionist Quinn took his sweet time lining things up perfectly. I couldn’t have been more pleased with size and placement! As far as the actual process, Quinn was so steady I didn’t feel a thing! I’m usually quiet during the process, but Quinn and I vibed pretty heavy and was actually kinda funny. For lack of better words the final product is off the chain. The swallows came out so clean, that it looks like stickers. Not only that but Quinn’s artistic eye pulled in and complemented some of my other work.

If you’re reading this, honest to God look no further than OP. Some of the hater reviews sound bratty and don’t seem to know what they’re talking about nor have they done their research. Being from LA my currency is respect, and I was treated with the utmost here at OP. Without a question in mind they haven’t seen the last of me. Looking forward to filling more space! Oh and they’re tucked discreetly behind a coffee shop which made the whole place smell great! Hands down one of a kind place in Miami and I felt right at home here.
