Just got my "cover up" tattoo done by Jeff at the South Beach location a couple of days ago and I must say that I am a little disappointed from the finished product. I had a smaller rose from about 14 years ago that was done from Jade Dragon in Chicago and I wanted to get it touched up and redone so I went to Tattoos by Lou thinking my cover up would be done flawlessly but it was NOT! Jeff kind of rush my tattoo session and I think that I was over charged for the work that was done. I wanted "leopard" prints behind my rose cover up and he promised that they the leopard prints I showed him on my phone would look better than the pic I showed him but they do not look like leopard prints. It honestly looks like he did not know how to draw the leopard prints and he created his own prints. Before we started the session I asked him was this his first leopard print tattoo and he said "yes but I've been doing all kinds of tattoos for several years and leopard print is not hard to do". Unfortunately I live in Chicago and I was only in Miami for my b-day weekend so he knew that I wasn't going to come back into the shop with my complaints anytime soon. It just sucks that I have to wait until it heals (30-40 days) and find a local tattoo artist in Chicago to correct Jeff's mistake. Thanks A LOT Jeff :(

Came in on a Friday to check out the place and came across Edson.... so glad I did. We briefly spoke about a tattoo idea I had and placement. Although I didn't get the tattoo that day... we exchanged info and I checked out his page. His craft is nothing I've ever seen before and I was intrigued! So much so, I came back the following Friday to get my tattoo. Personable, courteous, professional, and patient Edson did an amazingly awesome job on my tattoo! I'm going back in 2 weeks with another idea for a tattoo! Thanks Edson!!!

Alex did an amazing job! I booked him for the day and he did above and beyond what I wanted for my arm tattoo. The line work and shading were phenomenal. He knocked out a neck tattoo and another small tattoo for me as well. By far the most detailed tattooer I've meet. Could not be any happier with the tattoos I got 2000 miles from home, it's the highlight of my miami experience so far.

Actually had to switch my appointment to the south beach location because the artist at the kendall location had some time conflicts. Needed this done ASAP since I was leaving town, and AMAZING. ALEJANDRO SMITH did the work and I could not be happier of how things turned out. Absolutely love it and would definitely recommend. 🙌🙌 Alejandro even added his own touch to the tattoo and enhanced the artwork 10X. Incredible.

Excellent artist named Joe just completed my piece. He was awesome! If you are looking for something special go see Joe. His art is amazing, he has great detail, shading and precision all while keeping a soft hand he definitely took the time to make sure it was just right for me and I couldn’t be happier. It’s too bad you can’t post photos because its amazing what he created in just a couple hours. Also everyone else at the shop was so great to us too, highly recommend! Thanks Joe! Looked for and found old school Sailor Jerry ink. Got great recommendations from Rod about tattoo placement (I have a sleeve and a little left to finish on my other arm). Settled on the black cat 13- love it! Great conversation and very clean studio. Great prices as well! A must stop for any ink collector!
