Love Altered Tattoo! Rob spent time with me to go over my tattoo to make sure my idea and his design were exactly what I wanted. His product and that of the other employees are hands down some of the best work I have seen in SW FL! The shop is super clean and the conversation during my total of six hours in the chair kept my laughing the whole time. I will be getting much more art added at Altered Tattoo!!!

I haven't had any new tattoos since my past review but I wanted to add, over the past few years the 5 tattoos I've gotten from Rob at Altered have stood the test of time. Colors are still bright, contrast is still great.
My rating is still 5 stars for Altered. If you're in the Ft. Myers area and looking for a quality tattoo place, check them out.

I have been to several tattoo shops from Michigan to Florida. I've had good ink and bad ink. However, when you finally find that one place that just clicks, you never want to go anywhere else.
Altered Tattoo Co. is the Only Place My Wife & I go for Tattoos from now on.
We Have sent as many friends/family as we can to their shop. Rob Plante is our personal artist, but every Artist at the shop is at the same talent level. I would be confident in using any of the artists at the shop. They are a family like no other and make you feel like part of Their "Tattoo Family". It's a "Must Go" If you are looking for a tattoo.

If you are looking for quality ink in Lee County, these guys deliver! Talented, professional and personable, they are absolutely top of line. I have had a few tattoos done by Rob over the years and his work is amazing. I have also found him (as well as the other artists at Altered Tattoo) to be extremely fair and honest. If what you are wanting won't work for any reason, maybe it would need to be larger to fit in the details or placed somewhere else, they will let you know and work with you to get it right so that the end result is top quality. Also, if they feel one of the other artists would do the piece more justice because it lines up better with their personal style, they'll let you know. They really seem to take the time required to learn each other's specialties and strengths and that kind of attention to the craft is definitely apparent in all the work they do. They don't just run ink, they create art 😁

Rob Plante is the BEST tattoo artist around town! His line work is perfect, his color skills are phenomenal, & he’s a really nice guy. The shop is clean, a great environment. I definitely recommend getting work done from Rob.

Let me start with, I myself have 7 tattoos! I called looking for a tattoo parlor to buy a $100 gift card. The guy Who answered the phone was abrasive, and very standoffish. Guess his tattoo parlor doesn’t need of quick $100. He said I needed to pick a tattoo artist. I was like okay and I was started describing my sons unfinished skeleton that needs arms and body parts and what not. Interrupts me in the middle of this and says well or artist are pretty particular about taking new clients and touching other peoples work. All I wanted to know is which one of the artists was good at skeleton tattoos. This place sounds like a bunch of elitist snobs, looking down on all of us from their ivory towers, not a tattoo parlor! I hung up on the guy in the middle of his dribble! I hope they go out of business!

My husband and I had our tattoo done by Rob. We are SO happy with it! The shop is extremely clean, the music is on point, and it’s actually a very relaxing environment where a lot of shops have too much going on at one time. The artists are all friendly. There’s a lot of talent in this shop and I’d recommend them 100 times over.

Rob is the absolute best there is! I don’t trust my ink to be done by anyone else but him. My wife and I travel from Oklahoma twice a year and see Rob. If you are looking for an amazing artist and a great person all around, look no further! Set up an appointment and you will not be disappointed ❤️❤️

I’ve gotten multiple tattoos before but rob is the best artist I’ve meet. He’s done my sleeve and a coverup on my back. Him and his other co workers are down to earth and just awesome people. If you are looking for a tattoo I would recommend this place 100x.

I have been getting tattoos from Jason for years. I only come here and I highly recommend it when I am asked where I go. The shop is clean, they always keep it well organized and full of supplies. All of them listen and share stories. It's always a good time when you are around these guys. Jason listens when you come up with ideas and encourages input. I enjoy working with Jason.
