I would say stay away from this business if you are a person of color. My wife and myself got tattoos here- she's caramel complexion black woman, I'm a white guy.

My tattoo healed fine, but hers keloided. She called back up several times to see if there was anything she could do and they just ignored her. I wouldn't recommend this place. The guy who did the tattoo was named Matt Slime- should've known from the start.

Moises is incredible! He's done several of my tattoos now and his work is great, always delivers exactly what I ask for, also super clean and good safety precautions right now.

After a lot of research on tattoo shops and specific artists, I decided to go with Gwooki at Fatty's on H St. for a shoulder octopus design I had been conceiving. I could not have made a better decision - from the moment I walked in the shop it felt right. I met Gwooki for a brief consultation, showed him some examples I liked and described my intent for the design. He told me the concept was "exactly his thing" and he was noticeably excited to get to work. A few weeks later I showed up for my appointment and the fun began.

Gwooki had clearly done a lot of research on octopus designs and busted out a few different colored sharpies and started drawing on my arm. I was kind of unsure of what was going on at first but as soon as I could make out the framework I knew it was going to be awesome. Once the sharpie stencil was in a good place he began the actual tattoo and was able to work very quickly because of his familiarity with the type of artwork. We got through the entire outline and some shading during our five hour session and I scheduled a three hour follow on session to finish it up a few weeks later.

The final design came out breathtaking. Gwooki himself was so stoked about the design, which was awesome because it was clear how invested in the process he was throughout. I recommend him hands down - five stars across the board.

I am in DC for a concert and decided to make it memorable by getting a tattoo. I went to their CT Ave. shop and they were amazing trying to accommodate me since I didn't have an appointment. Excellent service and super clean... best experience and loved their work , specially how cool they were! Will be visiting again whenever I come back.

I got my ears pierced here and it was a very positive experience. They had a great selection of studs and very friendly, professional staff. It's very likely I will return for future piercings.

Awesome place with amazing tattoo artists and had a second nose piercing here. Daniellia didn't use tools so it was smooth and totally non-traumatic, healing perfectly with no issues or even pain ❤

James is the best! I've had all my work done by James and he is definitely one of the best in the game. Not only is his work professional, but he helps pass the time with amazing conversations. You truly get what you pay for.

I had a my belly pierced by Mitchell and it was awesome. She did everything to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. I'd recommend her and this place. Ooh did I mention the place is super clean and the receptionist is AMAZING?

DO NOT GET YOUR NIPPLES PIERCED HERE a friend of mine had his done and the piercer did them crooked and gave him a bar that was too short and caused a lot of ecxessive swelling and pain. we went back a few months later and saw a different piercer who insisted they were the right size despite him getting constant irritation bumps.
