Flying Tiger Tattoo

Disappointing that I have to give this place a low rating, loved it before and recommended this place to all my friends and family who wanted a affordable and quick piercing, with great customer service. Went in today and the piercer who I considered “my favorite” and go to was absolutely rude. Making snarky remarks and got upset because he can’t charge me on my card due to fees? I want to be able to get work done by a friendly employee, and no, I don’t mean “plastic surgery” like this piercer insinuated I wanted, which made no sense. Not going back and definitely won’t ever recommend again.

I have gotten all of my 7 tattoos here by Jeremy who is a great tattoo artist! Like all of the staff here, he’s extremely friendly and personable. Flying tiger is a very clean and have never failed to meet any of my needs! I have also gotten pierced there as well by Jay and it was clean, quick, and overall a great experience.

Absolutely awesome place to get ink! The staff is awesome, and you’ll get exactly what you want and more! Super clean/sterile spot, my go to place for tattoos! Joe and the crew always take care of me, and they’re the best spot in CT to get tattoos done, hands down! Thank you guys for the great experiences, definitely come here and get the tattoo you’ve always wanted!

I was a little surprised. Starting off, the guy behind the front desk was quite short with his answers and had a bit of a chip on his shoulder. He was more interested in shoving food down his throat then dealing with customers. he was definitely not on a professional level. As far as the actual tattooing, it seemed like the work was rushed. Way too fast in my opinion.. As far as detail in the work I had done, there's not much. My tattoo artist name was Joe. He was a great guy but I just wish he took a little more time and made some of the lines more crisp. instead they're quite blotchy and lacking detail. Watching the operation , it seemed like they're more interested in getting people in & out fast. As far as cost, I paid $150 for an hours work.thought it was a little high, but not too bad. the price would have been right with a little more detail.
I was planning on getting quite a few tattoos done over the course of the next month or two, but I'll be checking out other shops instead. It's too bad because I wanted to fill up both sleeves and have some work done on my chest. I'm curious to see if the owner sees this or even cares. Hope this helps

I come to Flying Tiger following Jay Goods. He is a god of colorful tattoos. He could make even the darkest of skin tones pop and explode with bright beautiful colors. Jay has always been reasonable, respectful, and willing to meet my high standards and expectations. The Flying Tiger is an extremely clean shop with very helpful and friendly staff. Even when i wasnt worked on by an artist they would give me insight and information. I have always been treated as nothing less then a friend at Flying Tiger. Although all the artists are great. Jay Goods is the best .

Artist had a bad attitude in the beginning when discussing the styling of the tattoo, he was very snarky and kept cutting me off. He showed me a smaller version which I signed off on but ended up doing it bigger than I wanted. Overall, the tattoo is well done, but they are not very open to what the customer wants.

Clean, professional, and friendly. Stopped in to get my nipples re pierced and Jay was wonderful and made the entire experience from the second I walked in until I left totally comfortable, treated me as if I knew them forever. Will definitely be making an appointment for a tattoo in the future. HIGHLY reccomend this shop!

I have done some of my peircings on my own and had a couple with the gun ; to say the least ...when you know better , you do better !!!
When Jay @ The Flying Tiger in New Britain CT came highly recommended , I did my research set a date and time and he did not disappoint . Jay explained every nervous question and put it to ease ! By the time I knew it my piercing was done . My brother even decided to get a piercing done as well and Jay accommodated . We appreciate the cleanliness of the shop and how Jay can not stress enough that cleaning your piercings with antibacterial soap twice each day is VERY important to maintain.

I started coming to the shop for piercings/jewelry change with jay a couple years ago and I won’t go anywhere else. I got my first tattoo there early October with Joe and it was such an awesome experience, between Joe and all of the other guys in the shop that day. We talked ideas to work in other pieces from a different artist on my arm and when I came back I was super stoked with the drawing he came up with. He was very professional and wanted to make sure I was pleased with the end result and switched the stencil around for me a couple of times so it would fit in the space we were working with more adequately. Once we got started he made me feel very comfortable and talked out the process with me, especially over the spots that were going to not be super fun to sit through, and kept me distracted with great conversation. Joe was great- I’m looking forward to sitting down with him again soon to continue the progress on my arm!

My daughter and I have gotten piercings and tattoos at Flying Tiger and never had a problem with anyone there. Jay has always answered any questions I had regarding my piercings. I would definitely recommend Flying Tiger to all my friends and family. Won’t go anywhere else!!
