Ink Inertia Custom Tattoo and Art Gallery

DON’T RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!! Highly unprofessional... I’m very disappointed in this shop. They have good artist but don’t know customer service from the back of their hand!! I’ve tried for a month to get ahold of three artist to get tattooed me and a friend. The owner gave me a fellow artist who doesn’t even work on the day I said I needed the appointment considering I work two jobs and it was my only day off for this month.. and it’s highly sad considering I would be a return customer because I need a sleeve finished. So if you want to be jerked around or not responded to these are your people!!!

I WOULD like to say that this facility was a great one initially when I came in to have a consulte with Eric regarding a tattoo that I wanted, which was custom also a design that I saw online but i was WAY wrong!!! Based on the pictures and the ideas that I had, i came in for consult due to the complexity of the tattoo I wanted. he took pictures of the current tattoo I had because the idea was to incorporate what I had into the new tattoo. he explained to me he could do it! So we scheduled me for an appointment 2 months out and told me he would be able to provide me with a sketch of the tattoo a week prior to my appointment. that never happened. I had to call him and text him asking him when I would see the sketch? He then told me that he had back-to-back appointments and that he could not stop doing other people's work that had appointments before mine just to provide me the sketch. Mind you this was now one day before my appointment. He then went on to say he would work on my design the night before and I would see it the day of my appt. When I came in to see what he had drawn he never incorporated the tattoo that we originally discussed, he pretty much drew up what he wanted, said it looked really nice to him and that it went with what I already had on my body. When I explain to him this is not what I told him I wanted or showed him during our consultation he began to make up MORE excuses when I asked him why he did not use the original piece that I told him I wanted. He said that he did not feel comfortable because the design was tribal and had some aztec and henna designs that he did not feel comfortable doing because he did not know the meaning behind them. I explained to him what it meant and that I don't get random tattoos on my body simply because they look nice. I requested My deposit back at which he was hesitant at doing when he said this is a part of him doing the sketches when in the text the night before, he disgruntly told me he does not get paid for sketching, he gets paid for the actual work he does on his clients. Which was another lie and excuse to not refund me my deposit.

At the end of the day this this was supposed to be an exciting experience. Looked forward to and waited over a month for. In all that time Of waiting there could have been many discussions and clarification about this tattoo. Ultimately this turned out being a nightmare! This individual is unprofessional. I will not speak to the facility as a whole because I do not know how others there operate, But Eric had one too many excuses, chances To verify and clarify what I wanted, Was very rude, Lied to me about his comfort level in doing this tattoo for me, And missed his deadline. I provided him so many references there were so many times that I could have came in between the 2 months prior to my appointment to get clarification but because he was so busy that never happen.

With this guy proceed at your own risk, be very specific about what you want, and ask him about his comfort level in doing certain work Because at the end of the day you may end up with something completely different that you wanted in the 1st place.

If You're reading this Eric just know how tacky and unprofessional you were with me. Bad news travels faster than good news. I hope this is a learning experience for you as it was for me.

Went looking for a job and I was surprised how busy they were, plus I found friendly faces, their shop was super nice, tidy and clean as well. Haven't gotten a tattoo from them but well done for a first impression!

Joel was awesome and did a great job doing a cool tattoo for my wife and I, we had a problem with one of the other artists but Joel the owner made it right with us he definitely cares about his customers, thank you Joel!

This was my second appointment with Erik, AKA "cynereo".

He did this custom piece on me after I was touched deeply by the song "Elastic Heart" by Sia.

I have struggled with self harm and suicidal thoughts for several years after a very traumatic experience giving birth to my son.

I told him about the meaning of the song to me and he came up with this beautiful heart made of rubber bands.

He is such a great artist, I am already working on several other custom pieces with him, to include a cover up of a massive (and horrible) 'tramp stamp' tribal butterfly that I got on my 18th birthday!

Great shop. CLEAN, fair pricing. You won't be disappointed. Long wait for appointments, but that is to be expected for the best shop in Colorado Springs.

Also, I would like to defend my artist. There is a one star review on here about him. Don't pay attention to that. Artists NEVER send the sketch for custom pieces to their new clients prior to appointments. It's not a thing. If they did, the client could then take that photo to another shop and have some other "artist" copy their work. (Please disregard that review.)

Done a few pieces with Art. Have been more than satisfied and happy with the work. His communication is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I'm am rude for inquiring a week later if he even got text. ABSOLUTLEY RUDE! not to mention this is the 2nd time of no response. If you can't take 2 seconds to respond to someone doing what you ask - ridiculous!

Great shop- Hector is the bomb! Seen a lot of great work come out of this place.
