Modern Classic Tattoos by Carlos Haas

I have gotten two tattoos from Carlos now. The first one was about six years ago when he was working at tribal rites, and the second was done in two parts over the last few months. It was actually very funny, when we started my latest piece We didn’t even realize until halfway in that I already had a tattoo from him, talk about cosmic fate! I would highly recommend Carlos to anyone and everyone! He is extremely talented, each time I leave with exactly what I had imagined in my head! I’m OBSESSED with my latest piece. Very hygienic, accommodating, and skilled! The experience is always wonderful as well! Incredibly friendly and fun! I will definitely be returning! 12/10 would recommend!!!

I got my first tattoo here . Carlos is the seriously the best! Walking in , I didnt feel overwhelmed rather I felt so comfortable and happy just being there. Carlos really cares and puts the time and effort into his work ! Even with tattoo care afterwards. This is seriously the place to go to !!

I’m writing this review for both my boyfriends past work by Carlos and our future work we’re going to get together, my boyfriend has worked with Carlos for years and has always said that he does great work, his flowers are on point, and his color always heal perfectly! Being in the industry we both collect from many great denver artists but if we are in boulder Carlos is the artist we plan to go with. We LOVE his new shop!

I met Carlos through a good friend of mine, Jesse Wardak (who also left a review on Google). After getting multiple tattoos with Carlos (a small, medium, and huge tattoo), I can genuinely say that Carlos is incredibly good at what he does. Even though I will be moving out to LA next month, if I ever need another piece, I would be willing to fly all the way back to Colorado to have him do it.

Carlos is incredibly committed to his work. After discussing doing a traditional Japanese/Chinese watercolor cherry blossom tattoo, he spent the next two weeks looking at multiple images of traditional paintings. Not just other tattoos or drawing something up himself. He spent the time to actually understand the traditional artform. That is absolutely above and beyond. After getting the tattoo, he checked up on me quite a few times to make sure it was healing well and that I was doing ok. Talk about being committed to your work!

Everytime I get a compliment on my artwork, I don't even think twice about recommending him.

i can't say enough good things about carlos. after getting turned down by another shop, it was really refreshing that carlos was totally willing to fit me into his busy day doing a guest spot at smokey banana. it was my first tattoo, so i was pretty nervous, but he was super professional, clean, and assured me that i'd be just fine. it really felt like he cared and wanted me to have a good experience, which was awesome. he also did a great job with my tattoo, i described it to him over the phone, and when i came in, i didn't have to change the design at all: it was perfect. could not recommend carlos more to anyone looking for a well-done tattoo by a kind person who keeps a clean work station.

After my close friend and personal Tattoo artists passed away, it took me 4 years to find a new artists. Not because of a particular taste I have in tattoos or design, but because too many artists in the Boulder/Denver area would look at me, covered in tattoos, and treat me with the same low customer care and lack of interest as every other fraternity or sorority customer coming in for their first tattoo.

When Carlos approached me outside of Starbucks one afternoon, he wasn’t pushing for a new client, he was genuinely interested in my tattoos and the artist behind them.

Since then I’ve managed to get a few tattoos from Carlos (at real price points, and not inflated college town price points), and as a person he’s genuine, and caring, in life and in tattoos. If you’re feeling chatty, he’ll talk to you for hours while you work together, and if you’re not he’ll let you zone out into whatever movie or music you like.

I genuinely appreciate you Carlos, for being a great artist and still having the ability to make a connection to us tattooed guys that have been in the game for a while!

Had a few tattoos done by Carlos, recently finishing up a sleeve and large leg piece with him. Will say that he is extremely professional and very talented. The experience and work are both always great. I will be going back to him in the future.

I was skeptical about going to his studio given it was hard for me to find (but that’s just because I don’t live in boulder). But he did an outstanding job on my octopus and heart armband. He worked was very knowledgeable and worked with my complicated design and it came out better than I expected! During the tattoo process he also made sure I was comfortable and coached me through and constantly made conversation to take my mind off of it. I will definitely be returning when I get visit Boulder again.

I didn't have a chance to actually go to this shop to get work done but I did have an exceptional customer service experience. I spoke with Carlos over the phone about a tattoo I wanted, and while he wasn't able to do it for me he called another shop for me and then contacted me letting me know that the owner was expecting my call. I know several great tattoo artists but I've yet to have someone go out of their way to help me without any kind of compensation, he genuinely just cared about me going to someone reputable. I will undoubtedly be visiting their shop in the future.
