I wasn’t sure I wanted to provide a negative review but felt it might help someone else. I went here because it has been listed as one of the best places to get a tattoo and my previous tattoo artist is no longer in Sacramento. I went into get a memorial tattoo of my dogs paw print. I had a paw print I had taken of my precious pup to use. The only thing I can truly say is he at least got the paw correct. He was not happy with adding color and argued with me about how it wouldn’t look like what I wanted. I should share with you I have multiple tattoos, this is not my first. I had the tattoo placed on my inner wrist, I have another tattoo on the opposite wrist, so I know what it should feel like. The pain was horrible. He was pressing down so hard, but I admit I didn’t say anything. I didn’t know what that could do to a tattoo. Although when the tattoo was done he admitted it looked good, it doesn’t change what happened. I was so bruised after the tattoo I couldn’t believe it, that had never happened before to any other tattoo I received, yet I was willing to blame it on possibly low iron. But I still have a blue bruised look all around my tattoo, this is called blow out, which can happen when a tattoo artist uses too much pressure. I apologize that I can’t remember the artists name, but be careful. The friend I went with said she wouldn’t go there for her next tattoo as soon as we were in the car. When asked why she said they dismissed the individuals thoughts and were argumentative. I agree. It’s unfortunate as I will need to add some background to my tattoo to get rid of this blow out. If you should decide to go here, it’s okay to get advice as they know tattoos, but don’t let them be dismissive to your ideas, and if the pressure feels like it is too much, and you have had a tattoo before, say something. Blow out doesn’t just go away.

My fiancé and I each got two little triangles above our elbows. Each triangle is a little bit bigger than a quarter. They charged me $200 for one tattoo, so $400 total for 4 tiny triangles. They Didn’t tell me the price until after they tattoo’d me, knowing what they were doing. DO NOT GET TATTOO’D HERE, they’re jipping people money for the smallest pieces and claiming inflation. 2 People left the tattoo shop when I was asking why this tiny tattoo was so expensive.
I also called a few other tattoo shops asking how much these tattoos should have been and they said only $100 each.

I came in on 2/1/19 on the recommendation of a friend who has gotten her tattoo pieces done here and made my appointment for the following Friday at 6:00pm, which was a time I wanted. I did not request any tattoo artist in particular, and was assigned to Jim. This was my first serious tattoo, having had one simple wrist lettering tattoo in 2010 done, but I sensed that all of the artists at the shop were very skilled.
I brought in two photos for Jim so he had an idea of my vision and explained the significance of what I wanted, we discussed a few ideas back and forth, and settled on the design.
He improved on the idea with his drawing, and by the time it was completed, it went above and beyond from my original expectations. I'm not the most emotive guy in the world, but I was pleased with the work, and glad Jim knew so. I immediately texted the photo to 10 friends before leaving the parking lot and driving home to show it off.
If I decide on a 3rd tattoo, I'd have no hesitation requesting Jim that time around.
Thanks Jim!

Don’t let Jim work on you. The shop seemed good enough but I should’ve gone with my gut instinct and walked away when I started working with Jim. I’ve had five other tattoos including a full shoulder and bicep tattoo six months ago and have never had bruising swelling and gouging like what he did to me. Photos are two days later. Instead of getting a normal Saniderm bandage, he slapped a poultry diaper like you’d find at the bottom of a meat tray and a couple pieces of masking tape around my arm.
I normally take things in stride and don’t complain but any potential shop clients should be warned so they don’t get the worst tattoo of their lives.

Super impressed by Brian's work. Got some block lettering done and as everyone knows, any slight errors can be very obvious. Brian has the steadiest hand and did a perfect job. I am absolutely in love with my piece and can't stop staring at how perfect it is.

Prices were higher than surrounding shops and even peacock east. And some if the staff wasn't nearly as accommodating. Jimmy was cool though, he did a great piece for me and it turned out better that Imagined. They are definitely proud of themselves, and their prices show it, but the quality is good. However idk why some artist just say "no, I don't wanna do that tattoo"

Great experience! My wife and I got each other tattoos for our birthdays, Tony, Brian, and Maud were able to get us in quickly, draw out exactly what we wanted, and gift is with the perfect pieces we imagined!

Shop owner ROBBED US OF MORE MONEY after having paid for three tattoos, all cash. He *only* accepts cash but fails to verify the cash that is given to him in shop. TIP TO ANYONE that comes to this place- make sure they count the money in front of you after you pay them! Also, we were not given a price for our tattoos. Instead they charged us after the service what seemed to be a wee bit high for a small floral tattoo. Seems we were robbed in more ways than one at this place. We paid for our tattoos and were not given a receipt after having handed the shop owner a large sum of cash for three tattoos, plus TIPS for each of our artists. Now I see why. We left the shop and shortly after the shop owner came running after us accusing us of having shorted him $60. How could that be when we paid for the three tattoos PLUS TIPS??After reviewing receipts from earlier that day when we used the ATM, we realized he completely robbed us of more money and lied to us.. DISHONEST BUSINESS OWNER and a total shame to have taken advantage of his customers who waited several hours to get tatted and chose this location over so many others in the area- BIG MISTAKE. Will not be referring anyone to this place. He is likely doing this on the regular with customers and smuggling money for himself - STAY AWAY from this shop and go somewhere else!
