A Dead Anchor Tattoo & Body Piercing

I have been looking for an artist in the madison area and have not had any luck loving the tattoos I was getting, until I found Ty. I submitted the consultation form and was followed up with the next day. I can not speak enough to how precise and caring Ty was with her work. I love what she was able to do to my existing piece. She turned something I was frustrated about into something beautiful. I have found my artist and I cannot recommend her enough!!

A Dead Anchor Tattoo has been my go-to tattoo place for years. When I first discovered them back in 2015, I knew I had found some of the most friendly, down to earth people around. Brandon is an amazing artist, and I have 3 pretty large pieces by him that I wouldn’t trade for the world. He makes the whole “getting a tattoo” experience fun and well worth a pretty penny. We can sit there and talk for hours about anything, and be laughing, having fun, and bantering the entire time! The shop is always clean, and organized. 10/10 would recommend if you’re looking for that beautifully worked half sleeve or even a full arm sleeve if you’re brave enough!! 😝 Or, if you haven’t fully decided on what you want yet, he’ll sit down with you and come up with the best design and placement, and you’ll walk away with a phenomenal piece of art you can wear forever!

If you're looking for a larger custom piece you owe it to yourself to check these guys out. I filled out the online consult form with a general idea of what I wanted and Brandon came up with a tattoo that I'm extremely proud of. My sits were the best experiences I have had getting a tattoo both Brandon and Lady B are fun, social and talented as hell!

I called and was able to get in that day! Tyranicorn did a fantastic job!! She took her time and made me at eazy and informed the whole time. I'm very happy with the piece and the price. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone!! Great job Tyranicorn!! Thanks a million

Having had Brandon do work on me in the past, I jumped at the opportunity to see him here in Minneapolis at the Tattoo convention this past weekend! I've loved all the time I have spent with Brandon at the shop in Madison and also now here at the Hyatt! I had the pleasure of meeting LadyB this past weekend and seeing some of her amazing work in progress! When Brandon posted that he was coming here to MPLS I immediately contacted him to conjure up a masterpiece for the left arm we have been working on together! I gave him some ideas and he took it and ran with it!! I don't think I have been this excited to get a tattoo in a while, but I was in it to win it!! Brandon is very knowledgeable and very personable. He made my entire sit a breeze! I am fortunate to have found him and A Dead Anchor!!! I am looking forward to working more with him in Madison finishing up my little arm project !!! Heres a little glimpse at the newest masterpiece created by Brandon for me!!

I received my first tattoo from A Dead Anchor Tattoo and Body Piercing Parlor on 04Aug2022. I consulted with the artist Tyranicorn/Brittany. This review captures my experience in detail. However, I would say if the residents artists do your desired tattoo style, definitely go here. Wonderful service, environment, customer safety, and knowledgeable staff.

When researching a tattoo I found this parlor on google. I reviewed the artists work and reached out to Tyranicorn. Her website was clear on what she liked to do and wouldn't do, this was really helpful for me as I am new to the tattoo process.

I filled out a consultation form and was promptly followed up with. The artist was professional, detail oriented, and very, very compassionate as my tattoo was a very personal thing for me.

When I arrived for the appointment I had no issue finding the parlor when using the instructions on the sites FAQ. I was immediately greeted when I walked in. Ty then spent about 25 minutes sorting out paperwork, reviewing the tattoo in detail again to make sure I was comfortable and talking me through each step of the process so I understood why she was doing what she was doing and how it helped her or myself in the process.

I found this incredibly professional and helpful as I ask a lot of questions and some professionals do not like to be questioned. Ty was super patient with me.

Brandon, the owner and other artist happened to be in the studio also. He greeted me as well and he and the person he was tattooing were also reassuring about the first time.

It was a very relaxed environment set up to be comfortable for the employees and customers.

There was a big emphasis on safety, contamination control, and covid conscientious practices enforced.

When the tattoo was completed (an awesome experience) I was talked through the process, then walked through aftercare instructions thoroughly. Ty was very insistent on her care for my recovery and gave me contact information to follow up with her.

The overall professionalism of Ty/Brittany was appreciated. She is clearly knowledgeable and cares a lot. If I want another tattoo that aligns with her style then I'll definitely be back. I was so worried about this and this place made a notoriously painful process nearly painless.

Already looking for my next ideas and hope to come back soon. Highly recommend.

As a side note, watching someone put art on your body for you to carry forever and then you become part of their artistic journey and portfolio is an incredible experience.

Had a great experience with Jordanne and everyone there is kind and funny! My leg obviously didn't like any needles going in it but she did an AMAZING job, I absolutely love it! Now time for it to heal up! :)

If you are looking for a great experience, a great tattoo and great reasonable prices I would highly suggest A Dead Anchor Tattoo in Madison! This was my third tattoo and my biggest piece yet! I got a hawk with some lettering and I could not be more happier with it!! Brandon was my artist and he took his time and was open to many ideas of mine with adding his own professional input into as well which just made for the best tattoo possible! He took time to explain different concepts of the tattoo for me and how it would be perceived. The shop is clean and friendly all the artist know how to have a great time I was being tattooed for 2 hours and not a dull moment was there! I am easily giving Dead Anchor a 5 star rating. I COULD NOT BE MORE HAPPIER! I even left a 40% tip. That is how impressed I was. Overall Amazing experience!!

I just recently got a tattoo from this shop and I am very impressed. The artist was phenomenal and my tattoo couldn't have turned out any better. They are very friendly and professional and do amazing work. I have been to a few tattoo shops in the Madison area and Dead Anchor is by far the best one I have been too and I will be going back for more additional work.

Jordanne is hands down the best tattoo artist I've ever worked with. She can somehow get into my brain and see exactly what I want! Her colors are vibrant and fun, as is her personality. If you're looking for a great experience and a great tattoo, look no further! I can't say enough good things about her, and all the staff at A Dead Anchor, they really go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would.
