As a darker skinned male, tattoo ink has never really showed up clearly on my skin. Steven changed that experience for me. His work is precise and in great detail, even on my melanated skin. I’ve had 3 wonderful tats done by Steven and I’m currently mindmapping on a 4th. Steven is an awesome artist. I sent him a few pictures and we had a brain storming session. I gave him free reign with it all I asked was to make it legendary. Man he knocked it out of the park!! This is going to be one of the most far out tattoos i have seen when we finish. I would suggest if you are looking for some new ink give my man Steven a shout. You won't regret it that's for sure. Took years before I decided to get my second tattoo- mostly cause I wanted to find someone who could illustrate the vision I had and what I wanted to accomplish. I started getting compliments on the sleeve we’re working on as soon as the first session was over. I’ve only gotten more after each session. Steven first tattooed me on a trip to Denver from Illinois. 6 years later, his work is still looking crispy and fresh. He keeps an extremely clean environment that is equally as comfortable for all of his clients. The thing I appreciate about Steven is the time and perspective he brought into creating my tattoo. When i first contacted Steven about the idea, i didn't really have much of a visual idea in my head than a thematic idea. But we exchanged emails and met over a couple months' time before laying down any ink - Steven helping me to hone the thematic elements into imagery.
The process was positive and it was easy to build rapport with Steven and ultimately trust in his wisdom about the design. I am roughly half done with my sleeve and I am very happy with it.
I really recommend going to Steven, especially with a big idea in mind, because he's able and seems to enjoy synthesizing those ideas into great art.
