Kemp was at Virtuoso Tattoo when I stopped by the shop to inquire about some American Traditional ink. When I came in to get the work done Kemp did an awesome job! It had been a long time since I had gotten tattooed (as in over 20 years) and Kemp was super patient with me as I needed a break or two in the beginning of the job. Once I settled in it was smooth sailing the rest of the way. The atmosphere in the shop is super welcoming and I felt right at home with these guys. Best tattoo experience I've ever had! I can't wait to get my next one! Thank you Kemp for my awesome tattoo!

I was running out of time to find someone to do a cover up tattoo and had been all over looking for someone to do it and they all tried to over charge me on some basic ink. But this place was the only place that didn’t try to over charge me and the ink was amazing! Kemp did an amazing job and I’ll definitely be coming back!!

Good artists, clean and chill atmosphere. CASH ONLY so come prepared, but they do have an ATM that allows $200 max each withdrawal with a $2.50 fee per transaction. $100 deposit to reserve a spot if you're making a future appointment. You can find cheaper tattoos, but you get what you pay for. Be respectful of the ARTISTS and they'll treat you right.

I recently got two tattoos here by an amazing artist, Kemp Booten. I am thrilled with my new additions and will absolutely be back! Kemp made sure my friend and I had a great experience and we can’t wait for the next session.

Love my memorial tattoo. My bff would be so proud of the beautiful tattoo you did for me. I will be coming for more tattoos.

Don’t have a consult the week before with Kemp and then a week later for the tat session, slightly change your idea.
The ‘Walk-Ins Welcome’ sign on their front door doesn’t seem to be true. If I walked in that first day and he could have fit me in, I would have showed him what I wanted and that would be that.
Because I had a week to think about this big decision on my first tattoo, I found a simpler design that meant more to me and showed that to him when I arrived for my appointment. Lonnnnng story but, I apparently offended him by changing my idea, slightly.
Just know what you want in a consultation and don’t change it up or you’ll deal with an obviously annoyed tattoo artist.
I should have taken my business elsewhere once I picked up on his passive aggressiveness, but I didn’t. My low self esteem is a beeeotch so I failed to do what my gut was telling me. I went there with my sister and didn’t want to embarrass her either so, I dealt with the situation the only way I could.
That initial consult was for ME to decide if I wanted Kemp to do the work, not for him to have my final decision of my tat idea. A walk in would have been treated better.
I could have gone anywhere but chose Kemp because he was nice on that consult day. Not so much on the tattoo session day. He said comments and his body language screamed he was obviously annoyed with me. But, like I said, low self esteem is a butt hole and not wanting to embarrass my sister is why i didn’t but should have gone elsewhere.
I won’t go back there, he made my ‘virgin tat’ experience awkward and upsetting.
