Jake is a God send, miracle worker. Jake has been working to fix a pretty ugly looking sleeve tat done by an artist at another studio. From the start Jake was kind, and very forthcoming about what he felt would work to salvage the terrible monstrosity that was permanently on my arm. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and incredibly talented. I wish I would have known about Jake at the very beginning of my tattoo journey. I’m extremely thankful and grateful for the work he has done and can’t wait to have him start my next piece. Thanks Jake!!!!!

He will tell you if an idea is going to work or not, as well as placement. He understands how things will heal and look over time and will give you the best advice and give you an amazing tattoo. The atmosphere of the Wheelhouse is intimate and laid back. You can feel the creative energy at work, flowing throughout the shop. The vibration in there is palpable. Jake has the best equipment in the industry and is always evolving his craft with workshops and guest spots from all over country. He is available from the first consultation, where I give him an idea, through the design process, when he blows my mind with his execution, perspective and placement is spot on. He worksheet in sessions for larger or more evolves pieces. He is compassionate when working in more sensitive areas. He stay involved through the healing process. Jake sets the bar in the area not only in his talent but in his professionalism. I’ve recommended him for 2 decades and will continue to as long as he is creating. He’s Clarksville’s best for a reason and he will always be #1 to me.

My daughter wanted a tattoo for her 18th birthday present. She has high-functioning autism and Tourette's, but is also an artist and would like to maybe some day be a tattoo artist. Jake was so awesome with her!!! He explained everything, showed her all the equipment, had us both laughing non-stop, and complimented her own art skills! I couldn't have picked a better place or artist for her! The tattoo was gorgeous and we both will definitely use Jake again!!!
