I would highly recommend the Gilded Mermaid if you are serious about getting an incredible tattoo. The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming, the artist were all friendly, and the music was good but quiet enough to block it out with headphones if wanted.
Betsy was my tattoo artist and she was fantastic! She is an amazing artist and obviously loves her job. She's very friendly and made me feel comfortable. She nailed the placement and the colors of my tattoo.
The only issue, and honestly it's not an issue, is that the artists who work here are successful enough to be picky with the tattoos they do. I would recommend checking out each artist's Instagram page and seeing if you like their style before reaching out.

Gilded Mermaid was by far one of the best shops I have ever been too! Was more like being tattooed at spa; nice background music, amazing artist, clean shop, an endless list of nice things to say. All the artist conversed, laughed, checked out each other’s work and the owner was incredibly nice!

It's a shop unlike any other with a great atmosphere and friendly down to earth poeple. Nick took great care of me and came up with exactly what I was looking for in my first custom piece.
