Evolved Arts Tattoo Studio

Charlie Macgill, Owner/Tattooer of Evolved Arts Tattoo Studio, is a master of his trade. The time and detail he puts into his costumers' work is extraordinary. After receiving my Dual Citizenship, I had a rather simple project for Charlie, considering his other complex works of art. It was an American Star infused into a Canadian Maple leaf. Charlie took the time to research the exact color of red in both the Canadian and American flags, each with different orange hues, to properly differentiate the two sides of the artwork. The outcome was beautiful and better than I could have ever imagined.

Went here back in April and my artist was amazing but the owner was insanely rude to me the entire time, even going as far as making a comment about how "it would be easier to tattoo me if he strung me up by the neck". Obviously, this comment made me feel very unwelcome being that Im a person of color, and made the rest of my session hard to sit through. Only now making this review because my artist left and this won't negatively affect them.

Wonderful, clean environment with attentive staff. I did a walk-in and only paid $60 for my tattoo. It was my first tattoo and my artist Brianna was so helpful and walked me through the process. I got exactly what I wanted.

Overall solid and lovely studio. Hygienic, inviting space that prompts creativity. Charlie is amazing! Detail oriented, his conversation is genuine and informed, attentive and the art is exceptional. I’m a huge fan of his line work, specifically. A pleasant experience. You won’t be disappointed!

I wanted to support a new local business and that failed. The sketch was horrible to start with, SMOKED BEFORE THE SESSION and smelled nasty because of it. The owners tattoo of vomit on my hand which was suppose to be a lily is nothing but a disaster. My daughters name fell out. This wasn't an experiment, used colors we didn't discuss. Failed tremendously. This wasnt done last week to be clear.

I love love love this shop! Did I mention that I love this shop? All the artists are super friendly and chatty, but intelligent, fun-chatty. The shop is light and airy, and my artist (Laura, queen of my life) is extremely responsive, on time, and professional. Laura is currently working on a custom designed piece for me, but my first meeting with her was for a small, relatively "vanilla" tattoo...she treated it like it was the most amazing piece of art she'd ever worked on. I sent her my thoughts on the custom piece I wanted (I have no artistic talent) and she created something a million times better than I ever could have imagined. She was open to my feedback, and gave me lots of ideas that worked with my vision. The shop is super clean, (even the bathroom) and managing the Covid policies so well, you won't even know, except for the masks. I love this shop.

The best part of getting tattooed here, aside from my fiance and I ending up with two perfect tattoos (Charlie gave us clean line work, attention to detail, his level of experience and artistry really speaks for itself); was the fact that we felt comfortable and at ease in his studio. It was like hanging out with a friend, honestly. He took great care of us from drawing up our tattoos, to after care instructions. I can't recommend Evolved Arts highly enough!
