I got tattooed by Drat. Round one of three. He gave me exactly what I wanted and was super funny and great to be around. I love how this shop communicates and is super on time and reliable. Drat is incredibly skilled and wonderful. I get stopped at least once a day by someone giving me a compliment on my sleeve. Could not be happier.

Dayton's service in particular here is wonderful - he's real friendly and we love his work! Have gotten two tats from him so far and will probably get more in the future! :)

Okay I honestly never leave bad reviews but I’ve never been treated so poorly before by a tattoo artist :/ me and my friend had a walk in which was super cool barely anywhere does that anymore! Everything started out great, I wanted this dainty behind the ear, a little on the neck tattoo but Dayton was trying to look out for me which I appreciate, so I changed the area of the tattoo. I didn’t fully agree, I have finger tattoos and another dainty neck tattoo so in my opinion it wasn’t career-stopping or very visible and a fairly common tattoo area, but I’m a reasonable person and if he had reservations I was gonna be receptive and just changed the area. Which drastically changed the price, I’m not sure of the ethics on that, but I still wanted it to be a good experience and to give him a chance. All that was cool, I sat down and after getting the tattoo the first thing he said before I had even looked at it was “so when are you getting it removed?” I was really taken back by that, after getting a tattoo that’s the absolute last thing you want your artist to say & it was pretty odd- it seemingly came out of nowhere. I said I wasn’t, I like the tattoo I’m not sure when I gave off the impression that I didn’t. The tattoo was good! He warned me about red ink which I’m well aware it fades and then told me he wouldn’t touch it up which seemed a bit counterintuitive, but uh yeah for sure man. He was super nice to my friend! I don’t know if he didn’t like me or if I did something wrong maybe? He also didn’t give us any after care instructions, which I mean I’ve had tattoos before I know what to do, but I’m pretty sure that’s questionable legally speaking. I don’t know, it was a really off-putting experience, it’s the next day now and I woke up feeling still very thrown off. I just have never been spoken to like that by a tattoo artist, some times he was friendly but threw in a few too many jabs, you know? I get it everyone has bad days for sure but I feel pretty bad after all that. Again he was very nice to my friend and this is nothing about his work as an artist.

Got a few tattoos here in the past year and I’ve always had a great experience. Dayton is a great tattoo artist and is always gentle on the skin and detail oriented. Every artist is professional and I can imagine going anywhere else for a tattoo in Portland.

My girlfriend and I wanted small simple matching tattoos while we were visiting and found EverTrue. So glad we walked in here. We were able to get right in and Derek did a great job and it was a fun and very laid back place but you could tell they were passionate about what they do. Highly recommend these guys
