Jersey City Tattoo

Met with Shasta for piercings at Jersey City Tattoo, this was my first time at the shop. She made me feel welcome from the moment I called to ask a question to when I walked through the door. The shop was clearly busy but I felt I had her full attention throughout my visit (she also took me with out an appointment but I do recommend making one). She has a perfectionist mentality with an eye for aesthetics, all the qualities I was looking for. Looking forward to my next visit.

The shop has a great vibe - very friendly and just chill overall. I’ve gotten several tattoos with Adam, the shop owner. He’s improved tattoos from my youth and done a massive scar cover up over a skin graft that made the injury seem as if it was not there, visually - which was an extremely difficult task. I’ve gotten numerous compliments on his work. He is everything an artist should be - detail oriented, knowledgeable, accommodating, and really strives to give you the piece you want, going above and beyond to make sure clients are satisfied. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else after working with Adam. He’s the real deal. I’d recommend this shop to anyone.

Working with Ermis was an absolutely amazing experience! He is incredibly personable and will take time to make sure you’re comfortable and your tattoo comes out perfect! Will 100% be back!

I've gotten several tattoos from Adam and from Kevin - great line work, creative, friendly. Feels like an old school tattoo shop. I love their work so much I've brought family & friends here.

I was tattooed by the lovely Ashley. Super friendly, gentle hand and willing to work with your vision. She answered all my questions prior the session and during. I had asked for a variation of one her classic matchboxes and it came out 10000% better than I envisioned.

I was also pierced by the sweet Shasta. Again another friendly and gentle handed artist. Super helpful when I asked her a million questions prior to my session, during and after. I love that I can message her about my piercings. I actually waited to get pierced by her specifically. Best hands in town!

Would send everyone I know to this shop!! 100% best tattoo and body piercing experience ever. Just wish it was a little bit closer to me.

I came in for a tragus and third lobe piercing at JC Tattoos because they are one of the few places that uses a needle instead of a piercing gun. The piercing gun is painful, not accurate and the healing process for it is unpredictable (Ah, highschool memories). Shasta is very friendly, knowledgeable, informative and talks to you throughout the whole process. She tells you what she'll do and what you'll feel - to me, it makes me think about it more - but it is necessary so your mind doesn't go into fight mode and you move. She is very responsive of any questions or concerns. The piercings only hurt with the initial stabbing and my ear only stayed warm for the first two hours. The day after, there was no bleeding or pain. And the days after that were like I've had these piercings for years already.
My piercings healed perfectly. Thanks Shasta!

Five years ago I walked in there for my first tattoo, now I have five and a leg sleeve (Adam calls it a pant) in the works! Adam is one of the most patient, coolest and most knowledgeable guys you’re gonna meet! He has good ideas! One Mario tattoo turned in to a project! Love it! Highly recommend!

Shasta is amazing and I adore her. She did my daughters ears and my septum. Will definitely go back for more piercings.

I meant to write this review the day of, but was literally heading to work and then got all caught up. I'm writing this now before anything else happens!!

On 12/17/21, I got my belly button pierced by Shasta, aka the best piercer in NJ. She was very thorough, knowledgeable, sweet, and most importantly, comforting. She was confident in everything she did and explained and despite me never having gotten pierced before, I was completely at peace.

If you're debating about getting a piercing, don't. Shasta is your best bet all the way.

Came in this past weekend for a birthday tat (an addition to the sleeve I'm working on). I was greeted by a very pleasant receptionist, the shop was clean & neat. I didn't know that I would have the actual owner tattooing me, so I felt comfortable from the start. Adam was friendly, knowledgeable & cool..I love my new ink!
