Mountainside Tattoo & Piercing NH

I went to Mountainside in Claremont NH for a single helix piercing, my first piercing aside from a usual lower ear piercing. I was extremely unhappy and unimpressed with Mountainside, especially their customer service. I arrived for my appointment at the allotted time, and had to wait an extra ten minutes after my appointment was scheduled just for someone to arrive and unlock the door. When I entered the shop I immediately noticed that the floors in the shop were dirty, and when I used the bathroom that was dirty as well. Already uneasy, I went to sign the paperwork. Unfortunately, the piercer (who’s name I unfortunately don’t know as he did not introduce himself to me) refused to speak to me or my mother, aside from a few rude comments including that he hated his job. He spent most of the session watching the TV, to the point that my Mother actually commented on it. While the piercing looks ok, he went in at an angle and it was crooked. As a long time fan of tattoos and piercings, I am very upset about this experience. The piercer was incredibly rude and unprofessional, and I am very upset as I was looking forward to someone more experienced being able to share their knowledge. This was not that, and I would never recommend this shop to anyone. The piercer would not answer any of my questions and I had to actually request for aftercare instructions, which he seemed burdened to answer. He made rude comments when we asked questions, and I was very disappointed with his lack of respect for customers. All in all, I would never recommend this shop to anyone, for tattoos or piercings.

Caleb was absolutely amazing as well as his wife. Definitely will have him do any future tattoos. This was a tribute for my late mom nearly 7 years after she passed. I couldn't get a better photo but it does look so beautiful. He's very talented!

Went there yesterday Caleb is a phenomenal artist and tattooist. He did my dogs picture on my shoulder and it's absolutely beautiful and it's excellent and exactly my dog. I would recommend Caleb to anyone ❤😍

I had 3 piercings done at this shop yesterday. He was knowledgeable and the shop was kept clean. He unpackaged all the tools and needles he used right in front of me. He was friendly and asked how I was doing several times through the process. I've had 9 piercings so far and if I plan on getting more in the future, I will likely be going back to this shop.

Caleb was super patient with my 14 year old daughter when she got a daith piercing. Awesome job!! Highly recommend!

I am very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and rudeness I experienced. I called earlier in the day for a piercing and both the woman and man I spoke to said to come in before 5 pm. I told them I got out of work at 4pm but I would be there before 5 pm. I got out of work and drove straight there, arriving around 4:35-4:40 pm. I walked up to the door and they had locked the doors and put the closed sign up. Luckily I was able to find another local shop that was nothing but professional and nice. Based off of my experience I do not recommend this establishment.

Caleb did a great job on my tattoo. Both he and the other employee that was working, Jeff, were super friendly. The tattoo was reasonably priced and the quality was excellent! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience. I will definitely come to you again!

Had to make an appointment to put an earring back in because no one was on staff to do it…? I went to get help putting a piece of jewelry back into my cartilage piercing. I was 2 mins early and was asked to go back and wait in my car until the other customer left (only 1 person at a time). The woman who greeted me was kind enough. The man who helped me seemed bothered he had to help me at all. I thought it would be a simple thing. He mumbled under his breath as he was walking away bringing me to the chair. His demeanor was hostile and his lack of professional directions made me feel uncomfortable and unsure what I should be doing to help him help me. Incredibly unfriendly and not professional. Im pretty sure the piece of jewelry I picked from their case was not sanitized before going into my ear either. As he was finishing up someone came to the door. He was the next appointment and was told he could sit on the couch till he was done where I was told to go back to my car because I was early by two minutes. I was more uncomfortable with the experience than him shoving my earring back in. The very few times I have been into this place I’ve never had a friendly encounter with Caleb.

They are a pretty standard shop. Follow all the laws and regulations and it's not a bad place to go for piercings, I see a few tattoos come out great and others not so much. I guess it's depends on the mood of the artist. Always seems like he's not in the best mood, but is a pretty cool guy. I have had a few piercings here and never walked out thinking it wasn't worth it. Give it a try.
