We drove from Brock Tx to Shreveport La to meet the crew from "Pen and Needles Tattoo Studio" and I'm so glad we did. My son scheduled for open heart surgery in November. He wanted to get our EKG strips tattooed on each other knowing the risk of his surgery. Dub not only made that happen with his amazing line work but the entire experience was by far the BEST I've ever experienced in a tattoo shop. We enjoyed being with the entire staff. We laughed, we cried, we made jokes and told stories! My mama heart will forEVER grateful to them. It was such a great experience my son asked when we left... "Mom have we known these people for awhile?!" I told him no but it sure did feel like we have. Thank y'all again, I'm sure we'll be back!

My wife got her first tattoo at Pens and Needles. Dub was amazing and overall it was a fantastic experience. He was extremely patient, he answered all of her questions, made suggestions, and listened to what she wanted. From a reference picture she had, he was able to come up with something custom and original that was even better than she imagined. She never felt pressured, or rushed through the entire process. Unlike other places we have seen, the shop was clean, organized and extremely professional. Her and I both felt comfortable being there. I will be getting my next tattoos from them from now on

We love our tattoo artist Cal!!! He has done my last couple tattoos at another shop but once we found out he was at pens and needles we followed him there. Since my husband has had two tattoos done by him and they are seriously badass!!!!!

I wanted to get a small tattoo to mark the anniversary of my husband's death. The design didn't meet the shop minimum so they encouraged me to pick another one I went bigger and paid the difference).
Everyone I dealt with was professional, efficient and, most importantly, kind. I was a tattoo virgin and they answered my questions patiently. They worked with me on the designs and made sure I was informed and satisfied at every step.
My artist is Kirsten and I highly recommend her. Get your ink at Pens and Needles. Prepare to be impressed.

I took my daughter here last night for her first tattoo. She had the most amazing experience with Dub. He was so particular and patient and he has the best personality. He stayed way over his shift to make sure that my daughter was completely happy with everything. We drove 3 1/2 hours in from Texas for this experience and I couldn't have asked for a better, more personable experience and we will definitely be back!!! 5000 stars for you Dub!
