Iβve had a tattoo done here before by Jeff Mitchel and had a great experience, but my recent experience with a different artist was much different.
I was told he is no longer there. So I used a different artist, who assured me she was the one to complete the start to my sleeve. A nature themed tattoo, which the artist specifies confidence with this type of work.
I paid my deposit and booked a date, just for it to be rescheduled because she said she didnβt have enough time to complete a sketch and wanted to draw something she was proud of and asked if I could reschedule. Me being totally fine and understanding, we rescheduled about a month out.
Well a month later and 3 days before my rescheduled appointment, I message her just to confirm my appointment because I wasnβt shown a sketch yet, and she messages me back saying she can no longer do my tattoo because she isnβt confident in her skills to tattoo wrap around trees on my forearm and said I can get my depot back. I am a very understanding person, but I am highly irritated that she waited 2 days before my already rescheduled appointment just to tell me sheβs backing out. I wish she would have just told me initially that this was out of her skill level without wasting my time.

I havenβt been to this shop, but I did request a draw of a dragon I wanted done. Now at the time they said they were booked up after being closed cause of the pandemic. This I totally understood. They asked me to give details of what I wanted and what artist I wanted since there was quite a few. Even though the person I chose was a pretty popular pick, I was told to still give details and they would draw and make my design. I told them to even give me to someone else. I wasnβt picky on who I went too. I saw a lot of amazing art on their page and was pretty excited. It has been late summer/fall of last year. I havenβt heard from no one, I havenβt received any reply back since that conversation even though I was told they would. I was still truthfully STILL waiting till this day. I finally gave up.

Update: still the best in the south. Literally. These cats are always evolving and always doing the most amazing things around. If it's permanent, it's worth getting in with the bestπ€ This is the way.

"New Jeff" tattooed me today and I had a great time, he has been a tattoo artist for over 20 years! The guy at the counter wasn't super attentive but otherwise everything was clean and professional. Be aware that there is a 4% fee if you use a card, it's best to grab cash at your bank unless you are fine with paying the $3.50 ATM fee.

I was passing by chapel and run in to know more about the place for a future tattoo, future was to far away when i saw that the artists that work there everyone won tattoo competitions all along the country and Europe. Rogerio artist and owner itβs a awesome artist and overlays my expectation. Every line with quality and dedication. Thank you Chapel for showing me the love of tattooing. As i said, future itβs far away, brainstorming my next tattoo πͺπ½

The experience was awesome. Everyone was hands on and made sure that my ex wife got the tattoo that she was hoping for. She has been more than pleased with everything she has gotten from there and for me as a retired tattoo artist I will be getting all my new ones and old ones that I got elsewhere fixed up and done there.

Very satisfied with my experience. My girlfriend and I got two tattoos done yesturday with Jeff. Everyone in the shop is very welcoming and will go out of their way to make you feel at home. I love the music that they were playing which is also a plus. Jeff did an amazing job on our tattoos, and we will definitely be going back there in the future. Best tattoo shop in Monroe by far.
