Iowa City Tattoo

I can not say enough great things about this shop. The entry way, waiting area and bathroom are clean and comfortable. The waiting area has a ton of art of the wall to get your creative juices flowing.
Anne is out of this world. She took the photos I sent to her of my dogs paw and captured the most amazing tattoo ever. The care she took with me, being this was my first tattoo was wonderful. It was a very special moment when I was able to see the finished product. I highly recommend this shop and Anne's work.

Iowa City Tattoo (previously called Nemesis) is awesome. I love the atmosphere. To me, it's edgy but close knit. Both of my experiences here went great. My first tattoo was done by Andrew, my second by Jeff (Jeff is seriously the coolest dude). I also brought my sister here for her tattoo, which she had done by Jeff, and she loved it.

Got my feet tattooed by Anna, she was great. They were my first tattoos and have healed very nicely.

Had an appointment with Jeff a few weeks ago, the ink room is sectioned off if there is more than one appointment going on, the tables are all plastic wrapped for safety, and Jeff wore a mask the entire time. I'm happy with the quality of my tattoo and had a good time getting it as well. Will definitely return if I'm ever in town and want to get another tattoo.

Anne is exceptional - her artwork, her style, the quality of her work, even her personality - I HIGHLY recommend working with her. As an introvert I often worry about having to maintain a conversation with a stranger during a long tattoo session, but Anne is interesting and not overbearing at all. COVID practices are amazing - masks, constant sanitizing. I felt very comfortable and safe. I recommend the whole experience with Anne - not just a great tattoo, but also a wonderful time. Book an appointment with her!!

Andrew is a great tattoo artist, I definitely recommend him. He listened to how we wanted our designs to be, and was very attentive to this. However, one of the front desk guys was INCREDIBLY rude to us, and almost made us decide to leave and go somewhere else. Some of the tattoo artists are great here, but the shop needs to consider not hiring people who are going to treat their customers in such a poor way.

Adore Anne's work and her methods. She has a great artistic eye and we haven't been disappointed (going on our 3rd piece with her). The staff in general has been willing to work with any serious patron. You won't be disappointed. And if you are... it's your fault & didn't speak up enough.

I can't imagine a better experience getting our tattoos than going to Old School Jeff at Iowa City Tattoo. We're both newbies, but he took the time to work with us, explain what was going on, and so forth. We came to him with a vague idea of what we wanted and he suggested the perfect design for us. He made sure to ask us if we needed to get up and move around, if we felt any discomfort, or if we had to go to the bathroom. Absolutely no discomfort; it wasn't even as bad as a sunburn. He brought in a privacy screen while he did my wife's tattoo, even though it just on her back. He made sure to give us plenty of after care information and suggested some products to use. Haven't had to go back for a touch up, but that's because it's got a little more healing to do.

The studio was clean, the people were friendly, and we talked about Anime and comics while we got the ink. We had such a good experience that I want to go back and get some more.

Amazing, Anne killed it. She's so kind and understanding and willing to take breaks. I got exactly what I wanted placement is amazing and it just looks so good. 10/10 couldn't be happier def recommend

I got my first tattoo here and am in LOVE. It's so beautiful and exactly what I wanted. I sent my artist photos of tattoos I liked and he drew this up for me. Super friendly artists, clean workstation, great music. Extremely happy!
