Cannot possibly say enough good things about Blackwood. Nic is a true artist and was able to render my original idea with tremendous detail while still adding his and my own spins on the design. Got my first piece here and Nic was super cool, super helpful, and really walked me through the process and made me feel cared about. And the ink looks incredible. Can't wait for my next session.

Two part review: 1) Visiting Artist, Brian Hutflies, is really one of the best artists I have worked with -followed him there, and would follow him to Cali if I had an important piece of flash I wanted done. Brian and I spent a lot of hours together and his work is rock solid!
2) The shop: very small, but VERY nice and clean. Nic (propriator) was super cool, very welcoming, thoughtful, and had a great sense of humor. Saw his work in action while I was getting work done by Brian; Nic's work is clean, sharp, and he is very talented. I would recommend this shop -being Nic, and of course Brian whenever he is in town.

Best first and not the last tattoo, nic was great, accommodating, and extremely professional. The facility is clean quiet and tucked into the nooks&cranies of Durango downtown. It is one of those places you would miss, but totally work it when you find it. I recommend his work of other work I have seen in town.
