True Art is a clean friendly environment where skilled tattoo artists can give you just the tattoo you're looking for. I was immediately fond of the atmosphere which is welcoming, and am so pleased with the work I've received! I've gotten several tattoos there and will be going back as soon as possible!

Tessa was awesome. Patient with me....I was undecided until the last minute. She did awesome drawings and gave me alot of options. She did a great job. I will definitely go back.

I wanted to write a great reveiw for this place but when I went in, the tattoo artist verbally ripped apart a tattoo that I love that I had gotten from a different artist! Feeling like, for a moment, that I made a stupid decision, I told him I got it for free to make it seem less stupid. I don't ussually lie and I guess it was a way of protecting myself or trying to make my self-esteem feel a little less vulnerable. He proceeded to tell me that I ended up "paying" for it later when I got a tattoo for free. I did not feel like I was "paying" for it. I love it! It has thin lines and it's simple. I chose to not fill it in with color. I wanted it simple like it was because that is my style and I love it. (Completely opposite of all of his tattoos) The whole time im looking at his tattoos thinking his were horrible. It looks like he does thick lines to hide his lack of tallent and he tears apart other people's work to make himself look better. Talk about ego! He told me my tattoo had to be something he could put his name behind. Okay I get that but! Help me find a solution don't just shut me down! (Although I'm so glad he did because he would have been a horrible person to get my tattoo from) I wanted a celtic knott. He cant put his name behind a celtic knott? Okay... (probably because it requires thin lines.) He had his ideas about where I should put it, what I should or should not get and what color. It's my body and I would HATE the tattoo if I got pressured or talked into putting it in a spot or using a color I did not want. I was not completely set on the design because I know designs need a little tweaking before they are ready to be a tattoo and before they can fit a place on the body. I always go in for a tattoo with the mentality of working with the tattoo artist to find something that works. I bring in several reference designs and I'm open to taking little parts or ideas from each. This tattoo artist shut each design down like I wanted to get each one as they were drawn. Every tattoo artist I have talked to previously help me draw a design that works and they collaborate to find something I will be happy with. Not this guy. He complained about people choosing something and not liking it later so he learned not to say yes to everything. Of course in his mind it's not because of any of his mistakes he made, it's because of "their" personal choice of placement and design. I asked him if the people hated the color or placement they chose. He said no but that, in his oppinion, they looked bad. Judgment on people's personal choice. This tattoo artist took the reins, decided I would probably not like it later if we did it the way I was hoping and had his ideas of what my tattoo should be. He did not work with me. The tattoo I wanted to get was sybolic. The placement was symbolic. He didnt care about that and just wanted to move it around and tear it down so he could put his name behind it or not do it. Artists like this should not be in the tattoo profession. Adrian, did you forget that your canvas is a person with feelings, desires, and different likes and dislikes than your likes as an artist? Basically, if you like specifically his style then your possibly in the right place but if you have ideas for yourself that he doesn't agree with, get ready to be torn apart. And just a guideline his style is thick lines, completely filled in, with lots of bold color. Also don't think you can get a masterpiece from this guy because in his words 'what you see online is not real'... I have seen with my own eyes incredible work on my friends and I have seen similar work in pics online. Im not just thinking everything online is real but I know there is a magority of incredible work online that is real but I can promise you this guy could NEVER do anything that incredible (just judging from what he has on his own body and in his portfolio and what he thinks is real). "True art" means art that fits into the oppinion of the tattoo artists at the shop. My advice, find a different tattoo place. I did and I love my new tattoo!

Best work around ! Accommodated to what I wanted, came up with amazing pieces, did not push too hard on the skin. a great first time tattoo place to experience!
