I went to see Hunter Knolmayer and his work is clean, fast, and extremely detailed! His hand is light and it is very clear that he know what he is doing with a tattoo gun. Very professional and easy to work with. All around my favorite artist i have worked with and I will be going back the next time i am in San Diego.

This place is amazing i got tattood by Paulie. He was very accomodating. He worked with me on the colors and how i wanted to make the design i wanted real. It even came out to a lower price than i was expecting I'm definitely gonna come back soon. If you want a tattoo here is a very good place to go.

I've now gotten 14 tattoos from Derek here at Funhouse over the last year (even traveling from out of state to do so). Great work on each one, he knows what he's doing and works with you on style, size, and placement to get you the best result. Especially if you're thinking about a traditional (with color) or Polynesian style tattoo, go to Funhouse and see Derek! Do it now!

I have nothing bad to say about this tattoo shop. I had an appointment with Paulie for my first tattoo EVER. I was a bit indecisive about what I wanted and changed my mind a few times and he bared with me and communicated with me throughout the entire process. He knew exactly what I wanted and we went for it. Being a huge Star Wars fan, I decided to get a traditional style Darth Vader tattoo on me and Paulie is a huge Vader fan as well so he was really passionate about every detail going into the tattoo.
I've received so many compliments thanks to him!
I love everything about my new ink. The details are beautiful and the colors go so well together.
P.S They definitely have a crowd, so it's better to reach the artists by email through their site.

The entire staff is absolutely professional, and are hands down the best artists I've been to. This isn't the place to go get quick flash art done (you won't see any flash books around either).
There's a reason they have long wait lists and are always busy. Good tattoos aren't cheap, and cheap tattoos aren't good. Also.... If you want the best black work in CA, ask for Scott Kautman - you won't be disappointed.

Yesterday I decided to get my first tattoo ever, and somehow I was lucky enough to get Stephen. Since this was my first time walking into a tattoo shop, I really didn't know what to expect. I came in with a rough (to say the least) outline of what I wanted and Stephen took it and turned it into an amazing piece of art. He talked me through everything and it was easy to tell that he really cared about what he was doing. He is a genuinely good person, obviously proud of his work (but also extremely humble), and amazingly talented at what he does. I highly recommend him, and despite his profile not being on Funhouse's website, he is obviously leaving an impression on everyone else he has tattooed. Request an appointment with him, you won't regret it.
