i am obsessed and in love with my new tattoo. I called around noon and was able to get in by 4 pm. I had it done today by Todd who helped me cover up an old one. He was able to adjust the proportions and the placement turned out perfect. He is such a talented artist and was a great person to talk to :) I was pretty nervous but I truly appreciate how he made me feel comfortable and the process went smoothly. I have a really low pain tolerance so needles make me dizzy, but the way he worked with me and talked to me made me feel safe and I felt great both during and after the whole thing! It was a laid back experience and it didn’t hurt like I expected. The style of this tattoo is so new and bold for me and it turned out amazing! Red is my favorite color and this 1000% matched my aesthetic! I have more tattoos planned and I will definitely be going back. Thank you so so much!

Never been happier with an experience! I honestly would recommend this place 15/10. The studio is clean and ray is super talented. He worked me in as a walk in the same day, sketched my design quickly and efficiently, and was just an all around pleasant and kind person. The whole process only took an hour (did I mention I called the same day and he found a spot for me???) and it was just super enjoyable and painless. I wish I could give them 10 stars! Would definitely recommend coming to hold fast tattoo.

These guys are awesome! I called asking about an appointment, which they got me in for only a couple of days later. I walked in, presented my ideas, and Todd drew it up very quickly. He asked great questions, was super professional and kind, and made me feel really comfortable. He was super easy to talk to, and the final result was INCREDIBLE. Couldn't be happier with my little zapper tattoos--design to tattooing for two weird tattoos took about an hour in total. 10/10, would happily go back.

I was a walk in and Ray took care of me right away. He made sure to take time with making sure I knew what I wanted and working out the details with me. My friend and I went in today to get memorial tattoos and I couldn't be happier! I've been getting tattoos for years and today was my friends first. Thank you Tony for replicating our mothers written words to a tee! Everything at this establishment is excellent! From customer service to sanitization A++ Top notch!

So disappointed with my tattoo by Todd. I have two full sleeves and many other tattoos. This was my first time here, I wanted to get my little twin sisters names tattooed on my ankle (Mia & Meadow). I asked Todd multiple times if he can make sure the names are CLEAR to read & a little thick, not too thin. I showed him pics of some ideas of what I wanted and I asked him if he could sketch two different ones up. He seemed annoyed by that and instead just sketched one up. The sketch looked fine to me but mind you, I'm not a tattoo artist, Todd on the other hand prided himself in being an artist for 25+ years so right away I thought I was in good hands, how hard can two names be right? Wrong.
When he was finished I looked at it and I swear the "a" in Mia looked like an "o" and the "a" in Meadow still looks like a mix between a lowercase cursive "s or o"!! Right away I let him know this. He attempted to fix the "a" in Mia which he did an good job.... Now for Meadow, he was scared that it would look like a "Q" if he tried to do anything else to it! So basically it looks like Mia & Meodow/Mesdow (but in cursive). I have two names next to each other, both names have an "A" in them but the A's look totally different from one another!!
On top of that, he tried to basically blame me by saying "it looks like how it did in the sketch I showed you"... HE'S THE TATTOO ARTIST OF 25+ YEARS, HE SHOULD HAVE AN EYE FOR THESE THINGS!! If you can't get a name right, I think it's time to find a new calling.
Then he tells me AFTER we were done that he is cash only...Isn't that something that should have been told to me when I called to make the appointment, it's 2019 who carries cash around?? Keep in mind it was pouring rain & pitch black outside... He hung on to my drivers license as I walked 20 minutes in the pouring rain to the "nearest ATM". I gave him his money & left in tears, literally crying the whole way to another tattoo shop in San Mateo to show them. All the artists agreed that the A in Meadow doesn't look right at all. When I told them that this artist has been tattooing for over 25 years they were all in shock!
Now I have to wait for this to heal to see if this is something that could either be fixed by another shop OR I will have to get laser tattoo removal!
****BTW, I never signed any paperwork*****
-- if I end up having to get laser removal, Todd will be the one paying for this. I already contacted my attorney and as much as I would hate to go this route, I should not have to be the one to pay another shop to fix someone else's work OR pay for the laser removal myself.
Please take a look at the pictures. You can clearly tell the two names looks very different in not only the "A" but the clarity. I was going to surprise my 8 year old sisters with this on Thanksgiving... Now Meadow will ask me why Mia's name looks better than hers & I know her feelings will be hurt as she's just a child & can't quite understand the artist did a sloppy job.
He clearly knew I was upset and unhappy with the results and he offered NO solutions to help, not even a discount. As a business office manager, Todd handled this completely wrong. I would NOT recommend this shop to anyone.
