If you’re looking for a WOC-owned, inclusive shop that’ll make you feel like you’re visiting a friend (who just happens to be an expert tattoo artist)… this is the place for you! Autumn (shop owner) is awesome. I called to ask for advice on getting my first tattoo and she was so helpful and made me feel at ease immediately. When I got to the shop for my appointment, I sat with Autumn in her cozy lounge area while she went over the process and made sure I was good to go with the design I had in mind.
While in the chair, we chatted like we were friends catching up, it was so nice! She gave me a cute aftercare kit and was sure to answer any questions and concerns I had. I will be back for more tattoos because now I’m obsessed. Could NOT have had a more pleasing experience. Thanks, Autumn!

Got my tattoo about 4 months ago. Cute space and friendly Black women. Right on Sunset Blvd so they're lucky. They need more tattoo artists though. Would definitely go back again. I felt loved and my tattoo is helping me spiritually. Thank you!

The Painted Lady LA is an influencers dream. The entire parol is curated with feminine inspiration from the entrance, all the way to the walls of the bathroom. The feminine energy radiates from the incredible artists. The ladies are beyond talented!!!! The creative genius Jess, blurs the lines of art with her tattoos. Jess will bring yours concept to life and far surpass your expectations. This place is a woman tattoo lovers dream.

Nightmare experience. Went in 20 minutes after they opened for a flash sale and got on the list. 4.5 hours later, they break for dinner and tell everyone there to wait an hour and a half. We don't live in Silver Lake, so we decide to go home and wait an hour or so and then come back so we don't wait in the shop and just watch them eat.
At this point, we are still behind 10 other people. We get a text that we are up when the queue says we're still 10 people back.
After a brief conversation with reception, in which we said we couldn't make it back in 10 minutes, they removed us from the list.
We wasted 7 hours on this studio. It is, by far, the worst tattoo experience I've had in my life. I can't speak to the quality of the artists, but based on this organizational failure, I would be hesitant to trust anything coming out of this shop. Avoid like the plague.

Really good black female owned tattoo artist's shop. She was quick and reasonably priced with great artistry. She can fully create something for you and sketch it out or go with your option. Very fun and cool vibe, nice clean atmosphere. She has a fun, cool personality and excellent customer service.

Not only is this a Black owned business but It ran by an amazing woman named Autumn. Her and her two lovely artist were so professional and attentive to each customer. My tattoo went so smoothly, she talked to me and distracted me. After care was phenomenal and the care package home is so cute. Definitely recommend. They even have self defense classes and art shows. Can’t wait until the next event.

I love the services at the painted lady! I’ve been coming to Autumn for years now and it’s been great to receive tattoos from her. She has a gentle hand, powerful with colors, and she has a gorgeous, peaceful environment at her shop. Her art is everywhere around the shop along with her tattoo art. If you haven’t seen her beautiful artwork I’m sure you’ll want to snag that before you leave. Soo much talent in a person. You can’t deny your gift and light. Thank you so much for my pieces thus far. They’re my favorite tattoos still to this day.
