I came in last minute with my partner, and we got flash from the wall. I was done by Justin. My partner has had no issues, he has beautiful work from another artist, a woman who I’m not sure the name of. Mine is done pretty well (definitely not my best quality piece, there were a few areas without perfectly straight lines or the greatest shading), nothing to write home about but still a super cute tattoo. This is my 12th piece, and I’ve never written a poor review. However, I’ve noticed that there’s little cuts and gashes where the needle must have gone too deep. The area is very tender 3 days after which I’ve never experienced, and it continued to bleed and get slightly wet, for lack of a better word, for about 48 hours after being done. The saniderm was absolutely bled through within 30 mins of leaving the shop. I’m hoping I have no risk of infection or ink fallout. The tattoo was pretty painful but I attributed this to being heavy handed or the proximity to my elbow, guess not? Please be careful for future clients…

My best friend and I visited Hollywood as a shared birthday present to ourselves and wanted to get matching tattoos as a souvenir. Serendipitously we stumbled upon Old Tradition Tattoo. We really loved the vibe of the shop and were greeted by a very warm and friendly staff. Kudos to whoever set the playlist- every song that came on was an absolute banger. The shop is tastefully and uniquely decorated, very clean and well lit. There's also a great chemistry among everyone there, which is nice to see in a professional setting. My friend worked with Chris Suicide who took the very best care of him and made sure his first ever tattoo experience very pleasant and memorable. I worked with Frosty who is by far the most light handed and gentle artist I've ever worked with. I appreciated his careful attention to detail and his recommendation of sights to see while we were in town. He was also super accommodating and grabbed a chair for my partner to sit with me while I got my tattoo. Of all the shops I've frequented, both on the West Coast and the Midwest, Old Tradition Tattoo was hands down the nicest tattoo shop I've ever visited.

Chris is one of the most talented tattoo artists in the world! My girlfriend has been getting her right sleeve tattoo by Chris and it's looking amazing. Old tradition tattoo is a great shop, always professional always clean always on time I have nothing to say but positive things about this shop and the owner Chris. The rates are more than reasonable for the tattoos that you're getting you're going to leave the shop feeling like you underpaid but that's a good thing. We were at his shop this past weekend and we plan to go back as soon as this tattoo heals :D

Yes, if you are in the neighborhood, really a must when you want a tattoo. Checked all of the tattooshops and this one is the best by far. Great time and I got a very pro tattoo. Would def go back if I return to LA! All the best
